After spending much time and effort to skill into proto scanners I now have big load of handheld junk as my phone can take better scans. Thanks complainers! how bought a so refund for those of us who skilled into scanners. it would only be fair. |

What would be more fair is making Scanners work like we had been TOLD they were going to work.
SNAPSHOTS. You get a single flash of scanning that lights up all targets in a fixed arc (like the arc they had pre-nerf) and keeps the targets lit for a decent amount of time before fading.
No "scannerina" spinning any more, but ALSO still workable and reliable scanning technology. Also, this would be WHAT WAS ADVERTISED FOR THE PATCH, rather than a flat nerf of something that needed a FIX instead. |

Its a shame isn't it? Now you actually have to maintain some level of situation awareness instead of scanning everyone around you every other second. I think speak for everyone on these forums when i say:

i can agree that it took you a good deal of time to skill into protoscanners but did it really take a lot of skill to click on them nodes to take it to proto?

You can say its right all you want. if you don't wanna be seen then use a profile dampener. I pretty sure so far ahead in the future they would be able to make a scanner that is much more effective than the specs of the now dead ones. And two those of you who didn't like being scanned, I hope you Grenade button gets stuck while your in a scout suit. |

its too harsh. I hate scannerinas, but if any of you use the scanner now, you will understand whats wrong with it. It is so inconsistent and doesn't even display what it scans, and often times doesn't even fully open up to scan the full angle

Haven't tried them yet, I can't be bothered to break out my gal. logi suit yet. If they are completely broken that does indeed suck, but don't start whining for a respect when something is nerfed or broken please. Things get nerfed, buffed eventually, it sucks but crying REFUND! every time some of our precious SP spent are not all we desire makes you look like a spoiled kid.
Most tankers are like sand people. They frighten easily, but will quickly return...and in greater numbers.

yes situation awareness
too meany times i have ran into players who scan every thing but for they move or shoot
i mean using the hud is ok just when you base everything off it like some of the pro scanners have you loss your RL skill at the game. scanning if anything is to tell you where the hi HP players are so you have some idea of what your facing not knowing where everyone everywhere is all the time like some COD game.
to some it up the old scan was to good at its job and the new one now fits the job not to OP not to weak.

Active scanners need to be valuable tools in the hands of specialists. They should be particularly good at countering brick-fit scouts. Nobody wants "scanerinas," but they should be viable and good in the right hands.

I do find it curious, however, why the 360 degree always-on passive scanners of a scout in 1.8 are OK, but the active scanners of 1.7 are not. |
