At least on a shotgun? because I think that 5% is still good when we're talking shotguns, and that's what I use right now. I keep going back and forth from a 2 shield extender 2 dam mod fit to a 3 dam mod 1 shield fit, so I made both of them as different suits. Also I mainly use damage mods on shottys for that 1hit kill ability. |

Proficiency is better, mine was at pro 4 before the switch, now it just smashes shield tankers, if you have under 600 HP your toast

For a shotgun I would recommend not even bothering with it. It seems they fixed a issue that the shotgun was not doing as much dmg as it should to shields, and if you get prof then it should help with that.
Your better off with a extender or precision mod honestly, or if you really need it, I'd say enhanced at max.

On the advanced shotgun it was. OHKO on all basic/militia frames and a OHKO on most advanced frames with a head shot. Gallente were the exceptions.
