So, This is by far the most difficult event I have had to deal with since starting the game late last year.
First, Running command or only side arm is already a pain so I decided to try to double the effort to the 750k SP cap by running command WITH SMG and Ion Pistol.
Things I've learned:
1) This sucks and is hard as hell
2) It's fun using the charged ion pistols on paper scouts
3) It's fun using the charged ION pistols on paper scouts
4) It's fun using the charged ion pistols on paper scouts
I'm wondering who else is dealing with this same nightmare. I'm grinding ambush with commando/side arm if anyone want to get some free basic suit commando kills. |

My secondary class always was dual flaylock commando, this event is glorious.

I run a caldari commando with sidearms and a cloak with shield regens. It works pretty good, you can get much closer using the cloak and makes the sidearm hunting much less painful.

i agree, I need the Sp for caldari proto heavy so i got caldari commando because it will be worth it... just 300 more kills, 300 and i can pick up my old suits and actually have fun again.
remember my friend the grind is going to be worth it... ish |

Ohhhhh yeah, I completely forgot about the event.
Looks like a double ion pistol combo is in order(sorry PLC)

Anyone else notice that the bonus' to commando suits are labeled 'light' weapons, not sidearms....
Unchecked dishonesty can promote the perception that one must cheat to remain competitive.

The only place I've really been able to notice the nerf has been while shooting heavies with an smg.
That sh*t sucks now. Will do more experimenting with pro smg tonight, but magsec may be the way forward. :/ |

Yes, but you get 1k sp for it being a sidearm, and 1k sp for killing in a commando suit. this setup has nothing to do with bonuses

Mag-SMG has a higher DPS then SMG at Basic, Adv, and Proto but if you skill into it, you don't get the kick reduction bonus. It's a known bug or at least known to the player base. |

Try bolt pistol and smg, I am having good luck with that combo. or smg and magsec
