CCP corrected the skill multiplier for the amarr scout skill it was a 4x but should be a 8x. So i you have put points into that skill you now have paid the correct amount of SP to get there... |

As the others have said, this is due to the Amarr Scout Skill multiplier being corrected. You'll earn SP as normal, but you won't be able to spend any till you get back to a positive number.

This is of some concern to me, and I will sound petty, but it primarily would have been a discerning factor in my choice of post 1.8 skills.
In skilling I went into Amarr Scout Ak.0 without question assuming that all of my SP was spent into the suit......had almost another 1/3 additional SP been shown to be consumed I do not think I would have skilled into Amarr Scout so hastily.
You can tell me to HTFU I can accept that...... but in some ways I feel cheated yet again and would sincerely like another crack at SP allocation regarding Dropsuit Command.

Yup another slap in the face in a long line of them......This will affect many more people than just me..... I kind of hope we do get another crack at it..... I certainly know that if more SP have been shown in the skill costings......I probably wouldn't have specced right into it.
Didn't even occur to me that CCP had mixed up the x4 and 8x modifiers.....

Nope honestly how I feel about the matter.
I by my very nature am not a complex numbers person. I cannot run the level of internal calculations that many other do. As such it simply did not occur to me at the time that any of the total SP values I was spending to skill into the suit were below the other racial suit values.
Perhaps unlike others who are numerically gifted and I am so very jealous, I might have noticed the SP values, made necessary calculations and worked through the SP totals.
I am not demanding anything. I am resolved with my dumbass decision.....but I wish I had known before I skilled into it that more SP than I had intended to skill would be after the fact removed from my character.....for something I thought I was buying..... kind of feels like the Amarr FW combat pack.
Blurb mentioned Gold suits but I never received any....nor did other spenders..... and the Gold was after the fact removed from the products description.
And additional 700+ SP has been removed from my character, I just checked.....not cool, really not cool. Please give me the option to reallocate that.....in all honesty I might even go back into scouts...... I just want the decision to do so to be informed.

Why wouldn't they? You're the one that is passing for petty, if anything. You're still gonna complain after acknowledging that what happened was just the rectification of an error? You now have the amount of SP that you are supposed to have. I don't see anything but fairness and justice here.

I have done so. Regardless of how numerically incompetent I am I was working off of the premise that I had about 8.5 Million SP after the intial reallocation and that of that I would leave 5 Million aside for racial Amarr HAV on their release, of that remaining 5 Million I spent a futher 700K into commando suits leaving me with about 4.3 and I am now down to 3.4 Million.....which is more like 900K more than I was aware I was spending.
That's not making an informed decision.

Exactly.
The people that are in the red now wouldn't have the SP to skill in those suits if the multiplier had been correct. Now that the multiplier has been corrected they have access to skills before they have earnt the SP for them.
And then they have the ******* nerve of acting outraged by the correction when they have just gained the benefit of skilling into something without the SP for it.
Let's imagine another guy with exactly the same conditions these people had. Same SP available, etc. But this guy didn't choose to skill into the scout skills that had the wrong multiplier. He decided to skill into those that had the correct multiplier. This hypothetical guy wasn't able to skill into the same skills these whiners now have.
You people with negative SP should be thanking CCP.

That is a good way to look at it. I'm finally going to be able to get back on tonight and I'm having a tough time figuring out how to spend my 8 mil unallocated now. At least I'll have the right numbers in front of me but it would have been very tempting to grab that one extra proto suit and pay for it later!

Look at it like this:
You got a free SP loan that no player of any other suit is able to get.
You can use proto Amarr Scout suits while other people are still grinding out the SP for their chosen proto suit. CCP's fix isn't a penalty. It's a free loan with few detriments or downsides.

They are bankers and gave you a Loan of SP in loo for a skill. You just have to pay that SP back.

(Not nearly as damaging when CCP was bonking people with negative ISK.) Didn't happen to me, just stating that I thought there was going to be a refund for Amarr light suits. For someone that has lots of millions of SP, the change isn't that huge of a deal because they already have everything they need to use the suit (weaponry, upgrades, etc). But I can imagine people with 5 million SP that weren't paying attention to the level, only the cost and put the points into it. Being negative for two or three weeks would suck massively.
I am still surprised they did that. I was honestly expecting a refund for the Amarr skill to avoid the possibility of this happening.
