People are QQing about being insta killed by HMGs,and it got me to thinking... Why do HMGs fire instantly? Unless they have a built in rotary which grabs the barrels and makes them spin. Why don't they have a whirl up time? So they start slow firing then get more lethal as they shoot longer and faster. Since IRL HMGs are based upon this concept of necessary speed build up why isn't it the same in game?
This could end drive by heavy insta killes with LAVs,and any other vehicles to be honest. It could also have a method to whirl up the barrels to max RPMs to shoot at max capacity when they fire. Charging or whirling up would restrict heavies to walking speeds,so lighter frames actually have a chance to escape. Also, why can HMGs over heat? The rotation of the barrels is supposed to act as a cooling mechanism to prevent that very thing.
My request: -Add a whirl up time to HMGs,but remove the heat build up in exchange -or- have cooldown increased by the rotary speed -Add a method where a high rotary speed can be kept even without firing
This would effect all variants but the burst HMG.

YES! I WANT THIS IDEA! but the heavy needs to be slow when winding but not firing.

HMG's used to have spool up time. didnt work.
Our max effective range is 20 meters although our optimal is 31
AT 31 meters we are doing 50% of our damage.
If you get insta killed by a heavy you should have been more cautious when entering the room you went in. This is litterally the only thing the HMG is good at.
Stop posting things without fully understanding the mechanics of the game.
And please don't start with "I use HMg and even I know that they need x or y thing" because any self respecting full time heavy knows that the HMG is only good for 1 thing and it excells at it. In any other situation the HMG is a burden
