I've been holding out hope that since 1.7 things would become more balanced.
However; the games I've played this evening have dashed my hopes that Dust 514 would ever be fun again.
I've only been playing this game since July, but have spent about $50 a month on the micro-transactions as well as getting many of my friends involved in the game (I'm one of the only people I know of that has the Recruiter BPOs).
I'm done.
I'm washing my hands of this game.
There is a PLETHORA of game developers looking to get my money, and I'm not going to throw it away on a game that makes my blood pressure skyrocket as this game has.
I went to this zoo the other day,
All they had was a dog.
It was a ShihTzu.

Just about yeah, I figured since I wasn't buying other games I might as well put the money into the game i was playing.
So yes, $350 would be a conservative estimate.
Granted, most of it was just for fun and trying out new things I didn't have the SP for.

You could also donate your clone's body to science and name a beneficiary (a clone or a corporation). However, I'd still like to see people come back to the game.

Its patch week give it some time.
Fixes are coming down the pipe soon and then you can play the real 1.8.

I do hear that the biomass process is painless and very humane. It has gone through a rigorous certification process by an ethics board.

Yes, It's been fun playing with the guys in Molon, but even then it's only fun if the games are balanced.

No, but posting about it is.
Anyway, balance is overrated. Nothing competitive is ever balanced. Imbalance is actually a requirement for a top-tier competitive game to exist, although this is a little known fact among the lower level players.
For a game to be competitive a person first has to be put into a difficult, if not overwhelming, situation. That very situation is the catalyst for the critical thinking and strategies that are born to defeat it, and in essence is what makes it competitive in the first place.
Without that situation you are simply playing a game of rock paper scissors where everybody knows the rules and nobody has to think for themselves. It is the polar opposite of competitive. |

I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but the vast majority of the matches I have been in (at least in Skirmish and Domination) have been completely fair and fun. The TTK has improved vastly, the cloaks have added a new dynamic to the game as objectives now switch side more often than a flip flopping politician, every weapon (except for the NKs) deals an appropriate damage type relative to their racial archetype, etc.
But if you still want to leave, go ahead. Just remember to put your character on passive SP and then not come back until you feel like checking things out again. Don't biomass your character or else you'll regret it.

To the op, I've been in since day one of E3. I am very upset with this bs build as well. I'm very frustrated. This game has been going in the wrong direction for a long while now. Maybe it's all the bugs. Idk. Why play a game if it's not enjoyable. I guess I will just give it some time. Sad face.

Good call dude. If you aren't having fun, GTFO. Life is too short and many are too weak to walk away from something that they have invested in even if it makes them miserable (which is clearly the case for some on these boards).
Come back some time in the future and maybe these issues will have been resolved.
