or any game with cloaking in their entire life.
Here's how a cloak is supposed to work in a game, it is on, you are cloaked. It is off, you are not cloaked. not 5 ****ING SECONDS OF INVISIBILITY THAT YOU CAN SHOOT DURING! THIS WAS THE WHOLE GOD DAMNED REASON YOU PRE-NERFED THE THING! Seriously, have you ever tested anything you put out this patch? Skills are wrong, the cloaks do the exact thing you nerfed them for, fakescouts rule the field, and the lag is worse than ever.
I would rather jam my arm in a meat grinder than admit to having bought aurum because I thought this poor excuse for a CoD clone had promise.
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

The cloaks aren't game breaking...just use your damn eyes. I'm liking this patch so far.. this patch is really pushing for co-op gameplay soloing just got harder..even soloing in a scout suit. |

Tell that to ps2, you can shoot a guy in ps2 until they die and you have no indication on the person you're hitting that you are hitting them.
At least in dust, I see the shield hexes as I shoot them.

Let me guess you are one of those that run a cloaky scouts with shot gun that doesn't not for team play but hides waiting for shoot someone in the back.
Cloaks are a joke. I have run around in a dragonfly/ complex damps/ cloak/ shotgun and been wrecking people all day. I will say first hand its cheap as **** and has no place in a game.
I fill like a **** for doing it but i'm not going to run other suits when half of both teams are just cloaked scouts now. I also like there are no RE's on objectives anymore as its just cloaked scouts that hide

I'm a scout. this means that my cloak is for actual sneaking/intel gathering, not sprinting around like this is ****ing CoD with my inviso shotgun or sitting in a corner like a scared little girl waiting for a kill.
Sneak in, report enemies, kill what I can, move before they figure out where I am.

Nope....Im usually a Marshmallow Boy (CalCommando)/ a CalAssault.....I have do have a CalScout set-up when I need to ninja hack or soloing around trying to stab people. |

I was excited for this patch, even came back after being gone for 3 months. But honestly, this game is at a whole new level of faggotry. The mass amount of bugs don't help either. Im pretty close to another 3 month break already. Who figured passive scanning calscouts with shotguns would be the next FOTM though? What in the holy ****.

A) that was meant as admitting to people other than the guys on these forums.

I've been doing better than i expected, tbh, even in my poor little sever suit. Got knifed a few times and shotgunned a few times but they were all legit kills. With the headphones on i've been able to kill quite o few fake scouts.
But as far as the cloak goes.....i would prefer that it be changed so that it was only useful for moving/repositioning, but very limited in terms of standing still. The way i would implement this is to have the game measure the time-averaged movement speed of the scout: if the average speed drops below a preset value(e.g. 0.2 m/s) the cloak disengages and goes into cooldown.
The visibility of the moving cloak would have to be modified to be less obvious, more of a refractive ripple than a blue glow.
The cloak would then have only one purpose: repositioning. Made for falling back or infiltrating, but useless for camping.
I support SP rollover.
