i have brought this up before a couple months back but it was rejected so i am posting again
i read the forums every day and all i see if people complaining about tanks
personally i don't think tanks are OP i just think the anti tank weapons are UP
i think range of swarms should be 200 damage per missile is 250 each that's 1000 for basic 1250 for advance and 1500 for proto i don't no much about forge guns as i don't use them
i think that if a prox mine and an remote mine are next to each other and someone runs over the prox mine the remote should blow up to i like that its in PC and factional but i personally think it should be in the public to :)
now the biggest problem i am seeing is tank spamming i thought about this and i come up with an idea a few months ago and no one took to this is what is it
restrict the amount of tanks you can put on the field per team down to 3 no if someone spawns a tank and it gets destroyed they can not spawn another tank for the remainder of the match this gives someone else in the team a chance to spawn there tanks basically first come first serve
that way you don't have 5 tanks running around in the match
personal opinion tanks shouldn't be in ambush its just easy kills and prob doesn't take much skill to do
or separate the ambush and OMS ambush back up and put tanks in the OMS one and not in the normal ambush
not sure what you all think i bet a lot of tank players will dis agree fair enough im just putting the idea out there its not a complaint before someone posts :P

The game you are playing is the game CCP/Shanghai Wants You To Play. They have rarely listened to the players, routinely ignore bugs and major play balance issues, often for months at a time. The basic functionality of the FPS portion of Dust (which is admittedly the entire thing) is broken. Guns don't fire, tanks have the same problems, forge guns are having them now as well* and hit detection is absolutely ... beyond bad.
The network architecture is horrifyingly slow. I was just playing with a friend near London and I am on the West coast of America. Rubber banding was not as bad as I saw it in PC matches but it was decidedly unplayable. We struggled through because this is Dust. This is how it is.
As for your suggestion ... Welcome To Dust.
* at least the forge gunners and the rail gun tankers are even when they try to shoot each other now. As in ... half the rounds rarely leave the weapon.
And so it goes.

the biggest problem is CCP often listen to the noobs who complain about everything that they dont use being OP personal opinion they should do what they set out to do and stop taking on ideas the players are putting in
there for delaying fixing the problems the public isnt going to be happy till its completely broken |

they seemed to listen to every1 in proto scrub corps.
as for the tanks. i kinda feel av is in a fine area but needs some tweaking. tanks also need some tweaking. more specifically hardener cycling. though even a single hardener can basically negate everything av has to throw at it. i know if we kill stacked hardeners we harm most scrub tanks via damage modded glass rails.if we make 1 hardener activate all other hardeners of the same type though. that windows of opportunity thing will kick in. but with that there we need to give em a side effect such as slowing the vehicle down drastically or immobilizing the vehicle when said hardeners are active. so they will then run away during periods of weakness.which av can take serious advantage of. |

swarms are only doing 50 damage a missile against dual hardened tanks lol.
They need a much bigger buff, and don't listen to godin. that thread he post everywhere doesn have anything useful in it.

okay ... take a step back, and tell me... did you put "any" thought towards LAVs or dropships?
Yet what you have suggested will "directly" effect them both ... It is because of "buff this" and "nerf that", that this game has people complaining and whining all over about tanks and OP this, UP that.
stop, look at the whole picture, then repost an idea that doesn't involve a buff or nerf unless there is absolutely no other alternative or side effects. |

i thought about them and tbh most people use them for transports more then anything and its pretty easy to kill LAV and dropships anyway
and i never said anything about nerfing tanks if what i said is true about the restriction you wouldnt need to nerf them at all |
