Cloak haters are akin to people who want DUST 514 to be like checkers; a simple game with simple rules using pieces with simple moves. The same for who called active scanners a crutch (360 spin was broken, place in game wasn't). All they want is to have high dps and/or tank and they just want to shoot each other.
People who accept the situational awareness mechanics (aka electronic warfare) of scans, profiles and stealth and who understand that it's an element of warfare that brings diversity to the game are akin to people who want DUST to be more like chess, which greater variables to consider and more strategy involved. A thinking man's game. 
I don't think what CCP talked of at FF last year regarding ewar has been done away with along with CCP Jian's lofty goals because it's not one of the holy grail features that was being tossed about but a big part of EVE that is clearly coming to DUST 514 in small doses.
CCP Remnant said ewar was a 'huge huge part of DUST 514' and that it encompassed many different systems. He gave the examples of more define scanning where your suit frame is relayed the enemy scans, voice come denial and minimap scrambling, stasis webifiers and energy drainers. Things aren't always going to be just pew pew pew.

Continue to reject these new factors and in protest neglect to mitigate them with the provisions the game offers you. Continue to try and belittle those who don't have blinders on in the forums. It's not going anywhere I'm afraid and if what Remnant talked about does indeed come to pass then get ready for more 'crutches' on the battlefield in the months and years to come.
I wonder how many times this conversation is had in the military?

if you dont see the cloaker moving you just shoot the spot you saw him disappear.. im having a blast kill cloakers and cloaking, it's funny to see someone use it wrong

Dear Sir,
It sure would be swell if the cloaks worked like they were supposed to and not allow gentlemen Scouts to shoot while still cloaked. CCP can kindly bend over while I softly whisper in their ear and fondle their man *******. Meanwhile, I have terrible situational awareness and am color blind because I can't see the bright flashing blue color that means a friendly Scout is cloaked and moving even a tiny bit. Instead i'm just going to rage IN ALL CAPS ON THE FORUMS BECAUSE THAT IS CONSTRUCTIVE AND I AM ANGRY!

Providing that CCP Rouge is able to follow through with his claims, we will see his master plan sometime between May 1-3rd. DUST 514 keynote was on the first day of FF last year and the future vision was on the 3rd.
