- It's another AV nerf which is ridiculous
- Min and Cal are too squishy as it is
- Explosives and hybrid rails are still murdering us
- The slow speed balances the HP out
Seriously CCP. I'm running around with my Dragonfly and Toxin AR, getting the jump on heavies just like I did before the barely noticeable "TTK increase."
I feel sorry for people who don't read the forums and skill into your poorly planned dropsuits. I thought the new player experience was important I guess not.

just like the sentinal and basic heavies heavy weapons slot to heavy weapons only.. this only decreases them 2 multiple side arms and a heavy weapon. takes away any extreme range capabilities and puts in more of a cqc type area for now due to the hmg. this way their balanced out for now.and should kill off the light weapon heavies. the heavies fingers should be too fat to pull the trigger anyways. |

Honestly, heavies are close to a good spot, especially sentinels. The problem is the GalSentinel. Not only does it have resistance to armor weapons, but it can have a logi with rep hives and tools to boot. The next best one, the CalSentinel, has no outside help.
Best PVE idea I've seen.

No. It's still going to get destroyed by explosives, even moreso than the Amarr because it has less shields.
And Combat Rifles (FOTM still), heavy machine guns, SMGs, the FOTM sidearms are all going to tear it to shreds.

That's a good militia fit in itself.
I'm not sure about the HP nerf since I don't know how much health they're losing, but if they lose a bit of health, it should make it easier for scouts to kill them, so wouldn't that be a good thing?

Uhhh, look I went Gal everything and my heavy is pretty badass. But it's like your being shot with a pea shooter. This is the thing everybody was talking about. You nerf heavy killing weapons but buff heavies, it makes them super heavies.
Just like how they nerfed AV and buffed tanks.
And how they nerfed scanners but buffed scouts.

I read the forums, yet i will still skill back into heavy while ccp tries to screw us again. Its an addiction that i've had for the past 18 months and rehab has been unable to help me.

I'm all for the light weapon slot being for light weapons only/Sidearm for sidearm and so on... I only use my Sentinal for killing vehicles and well, I need that hp if I'm getting belted by a large blaster... Heck in a dropship I can pew pew a forgegunner before he can kill me, if you drop the heavy hp I'm not even going to think twice before diving on a forge gunner. |

AGREED.
I did not notice any TTK change despite being maxxed in core skills. I was running militia caldari assault with massdriver and pop,pop,pop +50 Militia scout militia shotgun plus remotes +50,+50 knifes got good results
Sadly I did bad with another niche weapon but eh!! as long as I get some massdriver or shotgun kills its all golden.
Suits feel even more squishy in 1.8 than they did in 1.7

Whatever the changes a bunch of us are just going to roll with it.
However the insta-nerfing has helped me to not spend any SP on my Main until eHPs for Medium Frames and DPS numbers/levels are more clear. I was counting on that buffer to deal with open areas and cloaks. Reducing it may just be a signal to stick with Murder Taxing 1.0 and finally marrying a Minmatar Logi Gal.

No. I was massdriving and shotgunning heavies and the funny part is they were dying faster than in 1.7

the new heavies also seem to have alot less total hp than the amarr heavy frame which hasnt really changed base hp is a total of 1200 hp.with armor and shield upgrades skills maxed.. obviously....
amarr sentinal was 600/600 now 450/750.
mlt amarr heavy was 600/450 its now 600/510 so it received some what of a buff in 1.8.still completely fine though
also the new basic heavy frames of caldari and gal maybe minmatar also seem to have less base hp than their sentinal suit counterparts. if im remembering correctly.
mlt caldari suit stats for me in hp wise was 557 shield and 487 armor.(shield might be off.).
galente heavy was kinda the opposite. though i unlocked the std gal sentinal the second i got on yesterday as well as with the gal commando and the basic frames of the other heavies. (kinda regret spending the 40k sp to unlock the minmatar though mainly because of what it looks like.)..
with that im assuming a cal sentinal with maxed shield and armor will have around 650 base shields with armor at 487.
as my gal sentinal is around 650 base armor with shield at 487. ive still died relatively fast to the various weaponry mainly a combat rifle though so i dont understand where ccp is thinking these suits to be overpowered. maybe a proto heavy against a mlt ar but im not so sure. all i have to say about the weapon nerf is that it didnt really change anything.
edit: forgot to mention the new suits all being around 1k hp which is alot less than the amarr heavies base1200. id say it balances out between them in the end though.and up against other suits. if ccp intends to nerf the heavy suit then they might as well nerf the proto levels of the other suits which can reach up to heavy levels.. |

The 20% ehp nerf is silly, but these are likely a new series of nerfs that will be set upon the heavy.
They will once again become a rare sight on the field IMO

I just really don't know where I stand in the argument, or care. CCP is still going to do whatever they want, or whatever the majority of the forums wants. Regardless of what I think.
