People can only backpedal half as fast as running forward Where hit detection is fixed for the shotgun Where if you are hit, you are NOT SLOWED DOWN (otherwise why speed tank) and finally when swtiching out weapons or deploying equipment you aren't stuck sprinting at walk speed.
Thats all that was needed.
Honestly, scouts were not mini tankers, which is funny cause now they are more effective than medium suits in almost every way. They were high risk, high reward infilitraitors and were almost game breaking in the right hands.... |

I don't think it was the ONLY thing that needed fixed, but I agree this is a problem.
There were other issues like CPU/PG output of suits, scanner spam etc that I think were issues as well.
Looking for the scout hangout?

Erverythin a scout could do a med could do as well that was the problem, tis and the harsh nerf they get with uprising. Sure with tons of SP you could make scout work but still others could do your job as well.
Now scouts are nearly back to their former glory. I don't see much problems with most brick tanked scouts. The gal scout could do this before and it was never really a problem.
The only issue I have is the cal scout, good tank, good recharge and good speed is a bit too much but we will see how long it takes for the hp loving FOTM chasers will switch to heavies... |

I am at work too, however I have talked to Moody and Lightning V on twitter, facebook, and forums and seems that way. Cloaks are great! And they are not. I feel like it will be much like everything else in the game, in the hands of masters you will be destroyed and the other 99% will get themselves killed.
But scouts didn't have a problem before, I finally got to 10 mil SP and I was pulling 16/3 games, which isn't unbelievable, but I got to play the way I wanted and was doing better than the other 95% of the players. The problem with this game is, everyone expects to roll 50/0 and the thing about that is, someone has to die 50 times for that. The more that awesome players get awesomener the less the masses are going to want to even play. As it is, I see half a team bailing when the other team is Molon Labe, Silver TRU Blood (or whatever), or Niyan San-Chan.
We have like 5 thousand players at peak with PS3 in the households of 100 mil people. CCP isn't the problem, greedy players wanting to pown noobs are. I still run in scout lvl 1 with militia gear 1. to stay ISK positive, and 2. To have a little more fun honestly.

EDIT: I personally only thought we needed 2 eq slots, no stupid stamina delay (this kills scouts 80% of the time), and more CPU.

Except when they stack 300+ armor on the side.

I disagree. 1.8 increased the suit fitting capacity which has allowed me to fit kincats when I wasn't able to before. I like speed, and I know there are some scouts who still prefer it.

If you used shields righ shields were never really bad compared to armor, but this community still believes HP>everything else, which is of course stupid. My std scout has below 300 eHP and works good sure it took me a while to master him to the degree where I am now and there is still much room for improement but it works well.
So no armor is not better than shields its just different but most exect everything to work the same way |
