If you don't have the suit, you want to avoid ScR for anything more than a shield-stripping single shot. My assault suit seems to be working; I've not noticed any less shots fired before I have to switch weapons; I'm reasonably familiar with the way it feels, and I did manage to 1v1 some heavies today.
