make them into color scheme packages that allow you to change how your drop suits/vehicle/weapon looks, and have individual ones for proto, adv, and std/mlt. Then, introduce massive amounts of them on the market. Make high end ones actual visual camo, and low end ones just aesthetically appealing. Please CCP, give me a reason to give you money!!!!

Suit paint, weapon paint or adding alliance/empire based graphics would be a nice touch. |

Nobody will care about seeing emblems on LAVs.

^ This, very much this.
BPO's are a really, really interesting point of contention in DUST. CCP probably wasn't thinking long term with the idea of how much could potentially be lost. It may not save all that much money for a single person but it means that there will be less trade and trafficking of certain items. Try selling Basic Caldari Assault Suits when people have Dren, Dragonflies, and Ravens. Jeez, if I were happy to use an AR, basic level gear, and not care about the racial suit I would never have to buy ANY suit again (Dren Pack) nor a Standard Light Weapon nor a Standard Sidearm.
On the other hand, I paid for my BPO's with real money. No, I don't want a pay to win but I did spend actual money getting these things. Imagine buying a TV from Walmart for some amount of money. However, Walmart realizes that these TV's "are too good and mean that people will never buy TV's again." Because of this, it will result in their TV rack selling less than expected because of these Super TV's so they break into my house and change my Super TV into something completely different.
I know that virtual goods aren't actually physical goods; I don't own my account, my BPO's, or my SP. If CCP wanted to shutdown my account because I violated the rules in some manner (read EULA: most EULA's basically have it to where everyone is at least in violation of it in some way), they could. I don't own my Battle.net account, my League account,, I don't even really own any of the Steam games I bought (I own a license). That being said, it is EXTREMELY anti-consumer to state "we don't like the agreement we made with you for these BPO's a year ago so we have decided to undo the deal." Illegal? No but it is a really awful way of doing business.
The two most important currency for any company when it comes to their customers are money and trust/confidence/amiability with leads to money. If CCP changes people's BPO's on them because of one currency, they will take a likely irreparable hit with the other.
