Edit: In case you're wondering, I will not be skilling into cloaks to proto because they give no bonus at higher levels, and I won't be able to use the proto cloaks anyways.
Sitting at 40 million sp right now, every single MAIN core skill to 5. These are what I have left and the level they are at:
Cardiac Regulation - 3 Hand to Hand Combat - 1 Dropsuit Precision - 3 Dropsuit Range - 3 Shield Recharging - 3 Shield Regulation - 3
That's a total of about 4.6 million sp just to get these skills all to 5...I'm so close to being done
But who really needs things like Hand to Hand combat? (The melee in this game is the worst, and it only gives a bonus to the MODULE, ain't nobody got time for that) Let's redo that list and see which ones are actually passive bonuses, and which are just module bonuses. I'll also sort them by which ones are most important to me from the module section (modules I actually use)
Passives (1.5 million) -Dropsuit Precision - 3 -Dropsuit Range - 3
Modules (1.5 million) -Shield Recharging - 3 -Shield Regulation - 3 Unused (1.6 million) -Cardiac Regulation -3 -Hand to Hand Combat - 1
By cutting off the unused we're left with about 3 million sp. Great, that's much more managable. My question now is if it's worth it to skill into these, or to upgrade my weapons further. With the 10 million sp I'm getting refunded from dropsuit command I'm spending 6 million back into dropsuit command, so I have 4 million left for other skills.
My current plan for weapons is this: -Second weapon to prof 5...either MD or CR depending (777k) -HMG to prof 5 (777k) -Forge to prof 4 (450k) -Finally skill into a sidearm to a decent level (1 million sp) -Skill into laser rifles if they're decent to prof 3 (1 million sp) OR -Use 1 million sp to upgrade things like reload and ammo cap for other weapons (especially HMG)
Decisions decisions...

Put it all into Tanks.
I'm putting a good amount of mine into Vehicles. :D ADS + Tank = me not butthurt over OP Heavies. :(

I have all dropsuit upgrades to 5. Well, except the actual dropsuit upgrades skill.
I think the Cardiac, Precision and Range skills are pretty good and the modules effective enough to go for 5. I run a minnie triage logi with shields and biotics/ewar in the lows. So I definitely like all those at 5.
The myrofibrils I use for laughs on a purpose built brawler fit. But I otherwise don't put any blues on my suits. Probably the least desirable skill.
As you said, decisions.
