The Caldari logi equipment bonus is like any of the other racial logi bonuses. It will simply allow that dropsuit to use it's racial equipment as well as the equipment currently functions in 1.7...
Meaning, when you are a Caldari logi you can drop nanohives and they won't completely suck like when anyone else drops them. They function in the exact same way they always have: drop them in hallways and on staircases or at the feet of some heavy.

For me the cal logi suit seems likely to be the New FOTM slayerlogi suit, let me explain:
You can get 502 Shields that reps at 40 per second after 4 Seconds, thats the current scout Shield recharge speed....
On top of that you can easily stack 420 armor, weapon and nades at proto and then put lets say a triage hive, an allotek hive and a proto scanner. Yes you won't have passive reps for those 420 armor but you get 88 back per impulse With those triage hives.....
So, 922 HP With a combined rep count of 128 while only using 1 triage hive, its gonna be scary.

Not true.
The longevity of the hives is being cut, but ammo percentages and reps are remaining the same.
In other words, CalLogi gets 87.5 per pulse from a Wiyrkomi Triage Nanohive, for example.
Go read the devblog and stop spreading misinformation.
DU are getting nerfed hard, and so are scanners, on top of the 'yolo360spin' fix.
Rep tool range is getting nerfed, rep quantities remain the same. This doesn't affect me with my six kin triage; you still won't be able to Core both myself and my heavy, like you can with the Focused.
Again, it's all in the devblog.
Armour tank your CalLogi and stack rep hives, and you're now GalLogi on steroids.

How does anything you just said disprove what I said in my first post?
Summary of my first post: Caldari logis can drop nanohives that don't suck. (Caldari Logistics Bonus: +10% to nanohive max. nanites and +5% to supply rate and repair amount per level). Other than that, they will perform the same as they did in 1.7.
Then you proceed talk about the other equipment options how they are being balanced in 1.8 like that is somehow relevant.
I guess what I am asking is: what the hell are you going on about?

I use basic Cal. Stack some shields and a ADV reg, basic RR, ADV rez, ADV rep. I can keep up with everyone and take damage and dish out some. Or just let the heavy I'm repping do it.

I think you're right King Babar. The slot layout and base stats are well suited to the slayer logi role. It will have a good balance of armor to shield, so that you are not vulnerable to any one type of damage. It will have high eHP so you can brawl toe to toe. Moreover, it will have a high regen, so you can skirmish and withdraw if needed. All this with some flexibility to fit equipment and decent speed could make for a scary combo.

I may have ended up rambling a bit but wha I basically meant was 'no, CalLogi is getting a flat buff to equipment, and nanohives are nearly unchanged. Spam will increase, but that's it.
I thought you said somewhere that all equipment was being nerfed so it could only be used by a particular logi, too...

Any tears from players at that stage are more than likely going to have no effect due to the suit repec tomorrow. |

The only thing about the suit that says 'slayer logi FOTM' is the extra slot compared to Min/Galogi. But if you actually use that slot you have nothing left for equipment.
E.g. if you fill the highs with complex extenders, the lows with enhanced armour plates, and add proto CR/AR/ScR/RR and nades you have already exceeded total CPU.
Of course, you can use modules with lower fitting costs, but then you're not really getting the benefit of the extra slot IMO. |

See here:http://web.ccpgamescdn.com/dust/news.control/65896/1/Nanohive.jpg
In 1.7 all races can use them effectively,in 1.8 they will be a hair better because of the specialisation. They aren't just being boosted to 1.7 levels as most stupid non-logis would have you believe.
In fact rep tools, except the core focused, are all getting major buffs (except range which is minimal) in 1.8. http://web.ccpgamescdn.com/dust/news.control/65896/1/Repair_Tool.jpg

I don't get it why would the equipment bonus limit you to only running nanohives/scanners/uplinks/reptools in all your equipment slots. Why can't you have one or two iterations of the equipment you have the bonus for, and use the rest of the slots to complement them?
I might be missing something here, so can some logi explain me?

Thought about skilling into Caldari logi, Spawn -> go to a point (sentinel presence is preferable) -> drop ALL the hives (reps and resupply) -> swap suits -> continue with the match as you see fit same goes for Amarr logi but with million uplinks...

How exactly is my comment a QQ? I was laying out why I thought the cal logi will be very good as a slayer. In all other dropsuit classes, the slot layout is different, but the count the same. In the logi class, the cal logi has 9 slots, two other races have 8 and one race has 7. It is this balancing convention that will likely give it an advantage. The cal logi is CPU poor, but this can be circumvented by a combination of SP investment and using a loyalty store specialist weapon. No other suit has as many slots and no other suit has as easy a means of getting around what should be its limitation. In the future, please refrain from speaking for me, especially if you're going to be inane and simplistic.
