Not sure exactly, but with proto reps on a plated heavy taking fire it seems like a stream of points sometimes.

It seems inconsistent. I've fully repped nearly dead heavies and gotten no points before. While repping 3/4's health scouts I will get 50 or 75. It's weird. |

I think it is based how fast you can repair someone per second

It's not based on speed, its based on amount. I don't know the exact amount, but it is a set amount and you do have a cap within a certain period of time. Lots of people think because you see the +25 more often with a better rep tool, that you're getting more points. In truth, your higher rep tool is just healing that set amount of health faster than your basic. Same amount of health healed, same amount of wp given, just over a faster cycle.
I've been in games where I've been healing non stop in a critical point. It's buggy at times, and sometimes you only get 300wp and it just stops. Other times, you hit that cap and you won't get anything for a while and then you will later, etc. Cap or not, you can get a great games worth of wp with a good rep tool.

It's not the amount, and it's not based on your skills or tier of tool.
It's based on repair cycles. One complete cycle of an eligible* merc yields one reward (base 25 points).
The more HP your tool does, the fewer cycles before he is topped off and you get no more rewards.
So the proto tool with full skills has the smallest potential reward.
*Must have damaged an enemy within a set period of time. |

All I know is that when I repair with advanced or higher the WP come quickly. On my ISK farming suit I use BPO and it's at least half as slow to get WP. So either this cycle is a lot slower or it's because I'm only healing half of what I used to on my proto repair tool. It's WAY slower though.
