I play solo all the time and actually prefer it sometimes so I thought I would make this post for all those who need some tactics.
My tactic as stupid as it sounds is to be like batman :)
I generally run Dom or ambush so what I try to do is right off the bat get behind enemy lines.....after that I tend to pick en off 1 by 1. I generally look for the lone wolfs and usually run a scout.
The best weapons are usually a shotgun and scram pistol but nova knives could also be a good primary...but basically u want silent guns. U could really be a boss with this tactic for example the bridge map is great with this cuz the enemy is focusing at each other so u just start from the back and pick em off one at a time silently.

New weapon varient, Silenced weapons, you dont show up on kill feed when you use them but with reduced damage out put or rof gets lowered |

More than half the time I solo. It's more challenging and more fun. The most important thing with soloing is situational awareness. I don't use scans so I am constantly panning back and forth and always checking my six.
Also patience is a key to success. If you come up behind some reds don't just start shooting at them. Check your surroundings, see what they are doing. Waiting a few seconds for the perfect time to strike could be the difference between you dying in vain, or your name filling up the kill feed.
Gun control is not about guns...it's about control.
The only way to ensure freedom is by having the means to defend it.

I love my Corp but when the wife is at the office wanting to yada, yada, yada then its run solo time.
Then I guess I am batshit insane since I prefer running solo in militia gear.
The funny part?
With no headset distractions I listen to Recon Calling, etc at full volume from my home theater system and I go positive just about every match unless theres seven enemy tanks.
Dampening 5, precision 5, scan range 5, biotics 5, cardio 5, kin cats 5,
Now if I can only get good with the shotgun and knives then yeah.
I am terrible with shotguns and knifes...sigh.
I run to a just hacked enemy depo and hack it back.....enemy goes huh!! that was just hacked! and hacks it again then I wait a second and hack it back! leading to the enemy going WTF? that was just hacked??
Red berries..lol!! if its not on minimap or YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED then it does not exist despite my being right BEHIND them...lol!

Scout is the best solo playstyle.
Hack everything that isn't immediately guarded, put down uplinks in clever spots (It's more important to be in a place where the enemy can't find it than it is to be close to the action), and attack using stealth as your ally.
Snipe enemy uplinks
Countersnipe
Flank, using your passive scanning to tell you where to move and when to attack
I am your scan error.

I just place the uplinks, and either switch to my heavy when the reds are coming in and we mostly noobs, or I switch to my scout suit when most of our team is defending A. I only play domination because it's way easier for solo play. Also I see a lot of proto stompers which are fun to play against. Always kill the proto scout because usually they are good players, so you might as well make them lose isk (it's not like they would care anyways...rich people...). The rail rifle is very good for solo players because you can safely engage your enemies and retreat when you're seen.
