That's kinda the best thing about them.
When you see one on the field you know it's only here to kill other tanks.
I feel like saluting them as they pass. Even red ones.

Sometimes I feel like people are laughing as they are running away unscathed as a full missile volley explodes all around them 
But then I get the laugh when I get a direct hit on them and insta-kill them

Not sure what his fit was, but a dude in my corp (who has been M.I.A. for a month, not even loggin into PSN, we are all hoping he is alright) runs large missile turrets on his tank exclusively. You would never see him anywhere on the field, then just as an enemy tank was rolling up on you and you were getting ready to call for help, out of nowhere my corp mate would come flying right up on the enemy tank and BAM BAM BAM BAM. Dead. In like 3 seconds. Granted it seems like he always got the jump on the red tank, but damn he was good at it. Very rarely was he defeated in tank vs tank.
Switzerland is small and neutral. We're more like Germany. Ambitious and misunderstood.

I disagree. Road killing with a tank isn't all that easy. Most of the time I have to make a second pass at them, even when using a Fuel Injector.
However, pinning them against an object or wall is always an insta-kill, no matter how fast you're going.
With Large Missiles, you have to get direct hits, which takes a bit of practice to get down good, especially against moving targets. Large Missile splash damage is a damn joke though. I swear it's bugged or something. I've fired an entire volley at the feet of a running infantry once and they just run off barely damaged while I sit there reloading wondering how that little bastard survived.
That being said, the only time I really bother with infantry is when there aren't any other tanks to hunt.

Even if they're standing still it can be hard to hit them in you don't cant the turret right and your missiles misbehave.

You lead slightly for travel time and that does it.

I found that if you lead and pace your shots as opposed to mag-dumping , Infantry kills aren't that hard to get.
Unless they are hiding behind a railing or fence. >.>

What is true though is that missing can be a death sentence, what with that 10s reload...
