I am officially switching up in 1.8, I've spent the last 11 months playing in the underdog suits and I just CANNOT stand gimping myself intentionally anymore to prove a point. If I am to keep playing Dust, I need to enjoy Dust, and I just can't do that anymore in sub-par suits.

I will still be speccing into the Minmatar heavy so I can try it out, hopefully it will be the one Minmatar suit that's NOT broken when it arrives in the box.

To all you brave souls out there who plan to continue using Minmatar gear, I salute you. I will be speccing back into my Matari gear to join you once I have a solid footing in another suit that better suits my playstyle.

You might want to hold off on that decision, Baal. The Minmatar Assault is getting a pretty mean bonus and stats in 1.8 (especially its stamina), while the Caldari Assault bonus... could be better.

I won't be avoiding the Minmatar Assault altogether, but I will not be putting as many points into it until I see that it is worthwhile. I will likely spec to lvl 3 and let it lie until either I feel it's worth running again or until AV is fixed and I need a fast swarm fit. In the meantime, I need something with better shield tank and regenerative abilities. What sucks is that in order to make the Caldari suit's skill benifit me, I will need to spec into one of it's two weapons. I'm thinking I will have to go with the Magsec, because as much as I hate giving up my SMG, I REFUSE to use that ******* rail rifle. MAG ~ Raven I GÖú puppies.

With rail rifles everywhere blasting away all EHP instantly but especially armor, armor plates just prolong your suffering by 2-3 bullets as you are trying to turn and fight back.
