What's your fit? I started with two complex hardeners for perm-hardening, a basic heavy repper, an enhanced nitrous, and a Neutron blaster.

From what little tanking I've done before I understand you want to keep rolling, never stopping for more than a few seconds at a time.

I prefer it over double hardeners, I like having wider windows to harass people with.

Plus, this fit is about half the price of my dropship and takes a quarter of the skill to run effectively ^_^

Triple reps and a nitro will out rep anything short of an ion cannon

relying on hardeners makes you weak. They compliment tanking skills but on a Maddy they aren't a necessity. Double reps are good if you know the terrain and can drive. Triple reps and a nitro will out rep anything short of an ion cannon plus you can tank a whole set of rail fire if you can make them miss one or two. I lost count of the particle cannons I popped with a blaster.

Oh yea, I just won't fit triple reps because it's literally the noob fit haha.

The fact that it's so good just goes to highlight that fact haha. If someone runs triple reps, they're basically saying "I am allergic to thought"

Well I think about it this way--if you are good, and you use a good fit, then doesn't that make you even better? In Russian thinking--what works effectively is good, use it more.

Today I switched to AV.

Literally, I switched to AV. I was tired of my proto suits dying against numerous blaster tanks. I had enough. This Russian was PISSED OFF!

100k per suit upwards, I was done.

Decided to run a Militia fit, and a Sica w/ Militia Modules, upwards of 77k no more than that. Watched a couple vids by 8213 on how to run tanks cheaply. How to run them efficiently...

Stepped into Domination. Got 2nd Place, 10/0 1485 WP. Destroyed 4 Tanks, 1 Missile, 3 Blaster...
Ambush. Got 3rd Place (due to other tanks) 11/0 950 WP. Destroyed 1 Tank, Soma.
In each map, I blasted other AV to pieces.

It was good a feeling...stepping into that tank I felt powerful. I got a high KD for the first time in a long time...I blew apart my nightmares, the enemy tanks that slipped into my horizon...

I conquered my dreams, my nightmares, my enemies.

I brought back fresh blood, the heads of my enemies and made my countrymen proud.

I became the new AV.

So after building a Madruger I realized that I hate tanking with a passion. It is the antithesis of the freedom of flying.

I also realized there is one match mode with no redline rail cowards, Ambush. I can deal with whatever AV comes out on the field, and when I lose a ship I don't rage. So that's where I will stay until CCP does something about that broken mechanic.
