yeah im dropping the amarr logi(for now) so i can get amarr scout to lvl 5

I'm not sure what to make of the new suits. I'm specced into the AR pretty near fully, and I was going to spec into the Magsec to balance the shield/armor damage. I have no clue what suit to use. I was looking at the Gallente Assault, but the low CPU/PG kinda turns me off. I was honestly looking at the Amarr Logi to run as assault. Best amount of CPU/PG for mediums, sidearm, decent slots, just wouldn't run equipment, but I don't know. What are the big negatives?

I'm particularly interested in the Assault PLC... multishot... 3 shot clip... who knows...?!
Also, I think in skilled hands, the plasma rifle, especcially the TAC variant is still beast.
Least interesting suit: Caldari Assault! Will skill into that on my caldari toon... Will get a big buff eventually! |

I'm skilling straight into Prototype Minmatar Sentinel once 1.8 hits.
I love the way it looks.
It'll also make for a fun Melee fit. 619 Melee Damage sounds pretty fun.
It's also versatile, it'll make a good Forge Gun fit as well as a decent HMG fit.
It may fall short of the other Sentinels, but I don't care.

Maybe it doesn't have the same HP as a normal sentinel, but I think players will find that the extra mobility on a heavy suit actually makes it viable even with less ehp. With max passives the amarr sentinel only has a sprint speed of 5.32, while the minmatar sentinel is over 6.00. I want to say the commando is even better at like 6.26
A HMG heavy isn't that scary from a distance, but with two sprint mods brining your sprint up to 7.35 with over 1000 ehp you're looking at one scary heavy suit. (it might work better with a single sprint mod and an armor repair, but it might be better to rely more on your shields with the shorter shield delays that heavies have in 1.8)

I almost threw in a caveat about diehard Plasma Cannon fans using it. In an enclosed area near a hack-point things could get ugly. PLC users are in a similar boat with Forge Guns, both are clocked-alpha-strike weapons and both users need to do whatever they can to control the engagement. Heavy Frames even Commandos have a difficult time doing that.
There will be people who will work it like magic. It will just be uncommon like our current Commando population.
You got me on the TAC. That is one Hybrid-Blaster weapon that does not need mobility like the others.

God bless, keep the faith. If the original Frame bonuses had came to pass I was very likely to train into that Frame. The faceless visor has a nice menacing feel to it.

I'm still torn apart if I should stay min logi, since I never really used the rep tool, or if I dump it for commando or scout.
Min sentinel is pretty much a given right now.

I can't make a commando fit that seems to justify using it over the other Min suits. I'll use the SentInel for specifIc cases, otherwise I don't like the big hit box, crappy e-war and slow speed.

Pretty much everything doesnt really look appealing. Im trying my best to convince myself not to spec back into to tanks once again. I know my luck though, I tank in chrome - things were ok, afterwards things went down hill. Speced out of tanks and then tanks get buffed. I worry that if i spec back into tanks they will get super nerfed (by the way av does need a few buff tweaks right now)

Minmatar Sentinel, doesn't have the shield buff of the Caldari Sentinel and has no resistance to any of the current heavy weapons, so in a Sentinel fight it places last. Well, it does have resistance to the splash damage of the forge gun, just not any resistance to taking the blast head on. Amarr Scout is also looking pretty pointless.

Oh no, Minmatar dropsuits lost their regen, whatever will they do? I'm losing my regen, too, and I'm not Minmatar. Still going to run my Amarr Logistic fits, regen or no. Honestly, I only run Amarr so my SP is going right back where it was before the Dropsuit Respec with the addition of Amarr Scout. Yeah, least appealing for me is anything not Amarr. |

What's the connection betwheen the min assault and swarms?
The swarms will get buffed again eventually... and on a min COMMANDO they get a 10% damage buff.

Amarr Scout, any of the heavies, and assaults.
I hate slow suits. I'd say that every other suit but scout is unappealing, but the logistics class is interesting (except Amarr since they are combat logistics) for their ability to change the tide at any moment and saving lives. Plus carrying one weapon is badass. |

1) anything with duct tape. Seriously, that minmatar sentinel looks like one of those "bad guy" suits from a women's self-defense class. 
2) Caldari assault is meh. It says something that I have a BPO cal assault and I'm skilling out of it with the respec because the bonuses are not something that seems like its worth the SP
