Without reducing damage from tanks or increasing damage from AV weapons there is a possible solution to fix the tanks vs infantry balance. No change needs to be made to how hardners work or hope they function. Lastly no change needs to be made towards tank speed or agility.
I purpose the reduction of turret speed and turret rotation on tanks. Slowing down the tracking speed of the large turrets on tanks will reduce the effectiveness of tanks against small moving targets such as infantry running around. This should not cause any reduction in damage towards a stationary player or a slower player such as a heavy forge gunner, but assaults and scouts and logistics that have skilled into speed can out maneuver a turret and maintain survivability.
Those who stack armor plates will be slower and easier to track but those who skilled into speed will have a great advantage in surviving against slow tracking turrets. This idea comes directly from EVE with respect to small, medium, and large turrets tracking speed.
Tanks can still fight other tanks, destroy structures, camp spawn points and objectives, but infantry should be able to easily dodge tank fire or cross streets and avoid being hit to a greater degree to improve survivability.
I think most of you would agree to this as a good fix to a very big problem. Right now the tracking is too quick and too accurate to let any infantry any chance to even run or escape. And there is no fun in not even having a chance to run!

Interesting. It may even create an incentive to use the Proficiency skill.
But this shouldn't be implemented for Missile Turrets, and 80GJ Railguns are slow enough.

You dont need change anythink ;)
How to easly kill every tank?
Drop 9-10 proximity on road and run away ;)
So, make logi suit and: 1eq. proximity, 2 eq. nanohives, 3eq. proximity adv. In that configuration you can drop 9 proximity, and have 9*750 dmg ;)
Its realy work, i use this suit when i have near suply depot. To make trap you need about 30 seconds :)

Good hunting! Then I'd just shoot the REs with my turret.
It's not hard when they give you a warning once you begin to approach them.

But if it did and i was just as fast because i skilled into it would infantry cry if i racked up 30+/0 games?

I rage off game mostly because I can't even get close to a tank to begin to fight it with grenades or REs, and at range I'm severely limited with the range cap on swarms. Leaving the only other option the forge gun... But that is limited to one suit only so it's not an option for me.
When I can't get close and I can't fight at range what other option do I have? Right now there is no other option. In 1.8 we are losing the close range option completely with the reduction of grenades. What is to come out in 1.9 and beyond? I have no idea. I do know that this small reduction in turret speed solved now problems than it causes and keeps the tank vs tank option as the intended engagement policy.

My suggestion to balancing Vehicle's and AV is to take a lesson from the Battlefield series. In BF3 and BF4, if you hit the treads of a tank, the vehicle is temporarily disabled, and until it is repaired, moves slower.
Honestly, if you gave infantry a way to disable the movement capabilities of HAV's, then much of the AV problem would be fixed.
Maybe you could even add things like, damage to the turret reduces turret rotation speed. Damage to the sensor cluster blurs and glitches out the tanker's vision and aiming reticule.
Also, make tanks weaker on the top and bottom than they are on the front and sides. The back, bottom and top are the natural weak spots on armored vehicles. While the front, and sides are the most heavily armored. This rewards intelligent game play as HAV pilots will have to intelligently position their vehicles. And worry more about proximity explosives, aerial vehicles, and any AV infantry with a height advantages. AV infantry will need to intelligently apply AV damage by seeking out positional advantages. |

..or maybe they can just add a new class, the AV, with specific bonus to AV weapons damage. Like + 4% Forge gun damage per level, + 5% Swarms per level, + 5% Plasma cannon per level. It would be more like a Commando, but specialized in AV, a Glass Cannon.
Tanks would be able to hit those Avs, Avs would be able to hit tanks and deal a good amount of damage.

This would take months to implement and would go into a category outside of the 4 racial suit roles. You would then have to balance it with every other suit in the game... Why introduce a new variable to solve a problem that can be solved much much... much simpler.
