I can honestly say, that almost every match I've ever been in is invariably a stomp fest. Why? Because trying to win is to much loss for not enough reward! The game literally punishes you for going that extra mile! People in a lot of threads complain about "Proto-stomps". When the reality is that people only put in their best effort at the begging of the match. Than once a team starts pulling ahead, the other team gives up. Because what's the point of wasting a bunch of suits and vehicles just to win when you'll get the same amount of ISK anyway? The result is uncompetitive and boring matches. And it needs to change.
My solution would be if you win, you get the ISK equivalent of all the gear you used refunded plus a reward.

This would encourage people to squad up and protostomp more, if it increases their chance of winning, and then nullifying all their lost isk.
When you're going to lose to a proto/ads/tank squad, at least you have the satisfaction that you may have made them lost ISK, this will take that away.
And if you really want an incentive to win matches, you can always play FW. |

Throwing more money at the problem should be an economically bad decision at some point.
You can take a benign object, -you can take a cheeseburger and deconstruct it to its source...
