I can't find a thread where anyone mentions the ranges in Protofits.com so here they are:
Milita, effective: 18m - absolute: 20m
Basic, effective: 18.9 - absolute: 20m
Advanced, effective: 18.9m - absolute: 21m
Prototype, effective: 19.8m - absolute: 22m
Was this ever confirmed? Or is this possibly a typo and instead of meters this should be in feet? I could see the optimal range being bumped up from four meters to seven meters but bumping the range from thirteen feet to sixty feet is a little wild.

Don't get confused by effective range (more than 0.5 % efficiency) and optimal range (110% efficiency against a target with shields). The optimal range should still be around 4 to 6m . Well we all can test this once 1.8 hits just get a buddy and check the distance and efficiency rating when aiming at your buddy.
The efficiency should drop quickly beyond 6m... |

Those are direct stats from the 1.8 SDE, unfortunately, both this and the previous version are missing the OPTIMAL range stats :(

For ranges, see my signature, you'll have to wait for 1.8 optimals for a little while though, the 1.7 values are still up if you want to see them.
