Against the caldari heavy core locus grenades are like nothing. You will deal only like 330HP damage per grenade against its shields. And due to the fact that grenades are beeing limited to 2 after the patch you wont be aible to kill a healthy heavy. Sure all heavys get the 25% bonus but shield resistance are aswell added on top so good luck you will need it.

I imagine the answer is simply not to use core locus against Caldari heavies.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Yeah we all know how "popular" fluxes are. They are not much used and even then it doesnt kill the heavy. He will still sit with 480HP armor there and a HMG. Now you come with your pesky light weapon around which is getting nerfed and being obliterated. Sure you have a chance, a small chance at least.

you fail to realize the caldari heavy has zero resistances on armor, they're all on shields. You flux a caldari heavy, and hit it with a mass driver, its gonna melt.
