So. I'm speccing into ADS. Yeah, welcome to the ISK sink, I know.
But, I am only a sub par pilot. I would really love some tips on fitting and flying ADS's.
If you squad with me, I'll be even happier.
For some 1 on 1 lessons, I'll pay out some ISK (Price TBD upon the teacher and training quality)
Anyways, yeah. That's about it

You can find alot of us in "1st Airborne" at all times of day. We're willing to help, but if someone asks you to do more than pay for any fully fitted ships they call for you and subsequently lose, don't trust them. If you see me on, message me, I'll squad up.
Not new, just new to you.

The biggest thing is patience. You will be shot downGǪ Don't get too shook up about it.

I won't be flying other people's ships. I'll be flying my own to practice.
I really just want to know what aerial maneuvers I can pull off, and good tips on fitting and overall flying tips.
I just learned today that you can't pull an Inverse Split-S in a dropship. Even with afterburners
I might be able to, but I'll need one hell of a flight ceiling.
Also, for those who are curious, I have extensive experience in BF3 Attack Choppers. Anyone who made the transfer and can help me would be greatly appreciated.

Watch Judge Rhadamanthus' tutorials on YouTube. Learn to fly tactically.
Don't be afraid to lose a ship (don't fly what you can't afford to lose, etc), but know when it's time to recall and don't make stupid mistakes. Crash until you've learned to miss the ground.
Learn to orbit a point and fire. This will help against forges. It also keeps your momentum up for a speedy escape.
I'm a huge fan of afterburners and buffer tank (on a Python). My favorite fit has 3k shield (~200 less than hardener alone, but no recharge) and a proto AB w/ XT missiles and I find it more reliable than my dual hardener fit.
Find a good fitting tool and plan your skill tree based on what fits you want. Get lvl5 defenses and upgrades (what ever get the PG/CPU/AB/etc) ASAP. "Capacitor" skills are very important as well (I have mine at 4 because it's a lot of SP).
Learn to recognize what's shooting you and generally where from (forges make a loud noise and kick you around as opposed to rails which are pretty quiet, swarms are pretty recognizable).
That's all for now. I'll be on this weekend if you want to squad up, send me a mail or something.
