After months of people QQ about the state of tanks in the game and how it is effecting our fun in this game you have continued to ignore the hundreds of posts people telling you about the vehicle imbalance with AV. I was expecting to see a something in your 1.8 blog that would show us that you are addressing it..but I didn't.
In a game where our feedback is wanted and even asked for why would you choose to plain ignore people with legitimate questions with regards to this topic. If i were to make a post offering free beer or some other virtual gift i would be more likely to get a blue tag than with these questions as a customer as I have spent money on this product..
If there is a deeper level to it then throw it out there or talk to us but ignoring your customers is wrong.period.
I have lost more friends off this game in the patch were leaving right now, alot of them with a problem with the tank spam.
Every week its getting harder and harder for me to force myself to cap guys.just saying
And if in 4 months you guys cant figure out 1 little thing(pricing , poles any attempt to communicate.....) Im thinking you guys arnt responding ...well....because you actually are not doing anything about it.
Either way just thought id let you know in as calm and positive a way that this very behavior will turn around and bite you soon enough as customers do not like to be ignored. all the monetization pros in the world are not going to help with the fact that ignoring your customers losses them...

P.s. And thanks for the 1.8 Patch notes today its good to know that you had somebody cut and paste forum posts from Jan and Feb and put them together this morning....GG

After Uprisings release the forums were a bad place, I'll never forget how CCP screwed up so badly.

Actually, it's quite a bit more effective, and a rather fun way to do something other than assault.
But, apparently, QQin and/or drawing ridiculous parallels is much easier than figuring out how to counter tank spam.

Actually in a way they have been both buffed and nerfed.
Think of it like this. War points for damage versus vehicles is back, therefore people will actually stay with av rather than tank a few shots, die and switch back. The pressure can now be kept on us tankers and pilots to the point it makes it very difficult to assault bases. Other tanks are always a threat and not having a module up when a tank rolls up to you is a serious problem. Which almost always happens. Thats the reason you occasionally see a tank chasing another one that is running like hell.

Its the complete ignoring of the question that is the challenge.
P.S I am a 34 million SP player , I know how to get rid of tanks. The problem is that I want to do other things as well and the spam makes it near impossible to do anyting else....simple look at the stats that someone like ....Duna...has..imbalanced..period and deserves more than being ignored like we are little kids asking about sex....
and frankley lead foot.....should get adressed in less than 4 months in a field where tech is involved.

hmmm not me but maybe others, fanfest seems to be where CCP shows new things for EVE and Dust so it's really the only time I expect CCP to actually show actual progress for the game.

I know how you feel  right now there are two things we can do. Annoy CCP on these forums and find another game to occupy us until Dust becomes worth playing again (depending on what the problem is for you)

I don't find it fun to be shot at by AV, because of that I do believe they should be nerfed further.

And again the whole post was with regards to CCP not even commenting 1 time during the patch about it.

IMO, rebalancing tanks is hardly a "new thing", but, like you, I eagerly await whatever CCP chooses to show at fanfest and I hope to hear some updates on this topic.
Until then...and unlike many...I won't QQ about it. I'll simply figure out a way to counter it or avoid it as much as I can.
It ain't that hard.

Actually, I would love to play a tank in every match, because that's my typical role in FPS -- but in Dust I'm a logi/assault and a squad lead and only dabble in tanks -- but that's a different discussion.
If you don't want to play in a tank, then don't. There's nothing stopping you from playing any role you want -- despite the QQ to the contrary.
They don't comment on a lot of things when they are focused on other things. It's called limited resources and priorities.
That said, if this issue and the lack of CCP response is really bothering you, you might try IRC. Provided you engage them in an adult manner (asking a lot, I understand), they are remarkably approachable and will discuss virtually any topic you want. |
