So, one of the biggest issues I have as a heavy is readjusting to constantly changing battle Conditions on large outposts, which got me thinking..
Maybe buffs and nerfs to weapons or the suit wasn't the answer, but an activated module which could temporarily boost our abysmal mobility is!
Can heavy suits get a module which, upon activation, drastically increases their sprint Speed? Not talking about pathetic boosts we get from catalyzers, but a real boost to sprint Speed from an actual module! This would drastically improve heavy suits ability to relocate on dusts larger maps, and also help us to keep up with speedy tanks (you know, since they're the fastest thing in the game AND have a turbo option?), which is very difficult right now for heavy suits to dom

This isn't a bad idea.
In Planetside the equivalent unit (Maxes) had a sprint feature for mobility. The sprint action had a spool up and cool down during which you couldn't shoot, and you also couldn't shoot while sprinting. So if a Max ran into you and tried to slow down to shoot you, you'd have him dead before he came to a full stop.
The thing is the Max unit was slower than even the Heavy in Dust, so while the idea is cool and can be balanced, I don't think our fatties really need it. |

The only this way this COULD work without becoming ridiculously OP would be with a disadvantage such as the inability to shoot until the "run unit" has completed its cycle (as the previous poster had mentioned). Otherwise, there would be no counter to a heavy, and everyone would just end up in the same FOTM suit. |

A heavy's lack of mobility is a balancing factor to stop them from being too powerful. Giving them the ability to overcome one of their only balancing factors is a bad idea.
If you don't like a heavy's slow speed, get a tanked medium frame or an LAV.
We want cake and tea.

Wasn't there a module that increased base movement speed.....I would be up for those....but set a cap just under sprint speed or something
Or a stimulant injector would be really cool....imagine logi giving temporary speed boosts to the squad or increasing a heavies stamina so he could keep up.....it would thin out the equipment pool so that having the right equipment in your squad could mean victory or defeat
Real heavies use lasers
