Is this confirmed?
Getting rid of sticky remotes would make them a lot harder for AV, and get rid of jihad jeeps
people have been spreading the rumor but I searched and didnt see anything

Yeah but speaking from driving around in a 500K isk railgun tank, the jihad jeep is NO risk high reward and punishes tankers that use REAL strategy to avoid dying. I guess I'll have to sit up in the mountains and be bored the whole match, because if I risk going down anywhere near the infantry I'll be jihad jeeped.
Look "bamboo x" doesn't have a single skill point in vehicles, and I feel your pain on the tank problem, but it would be solved by just making a limit of 3 tanks per team and making militia and standard tanks weak, while adding a proto tank that requires real skill to use.

People seem to never read the original threads when they do the bug posts. One bug in particular made RE's which were on LAVs get caught on walls and adhere to them until the vehicle was destroyed. I have a feeling people just skimmed that and magically came to the conclusion RE's ability to stick to walls and vehicles was a bug when in fact they cannot be bothered to actually read stuff.

I remember not too long ago the rumor was based on an IRC conversation with a dev, because apparently Jihad Jeeps weren't intended.
There was confusion as to whether or not that meant the stickiness was no longer going to be used on just blue vehicles, or whether it would be lost in general.
Also, given the source was not linked, and just quoted, it should be taken with a heavy dose of salt.

I remember reading about this too...don't know exactly where, but I can advocate for that answer.

To be honest, HTFU is all i can say to that! It's not my favorite phrase, but you tankers complaining about a mechanic, that's user created (in a sandbox that's supposed to make stuff like that possible) to counter your utter op tanks is just rediculous!
Do you even get how broken your crutch is! If somebody blows you up with a kamikaze jeep (don't like the expression jihad jeep) than he is doing it right. He is using a possible mechanic to kill you. How is he supposed to stick them personally to you if you have three other tanks guarding your back? You tankers are just a cheesy bunch of scrubs who depend on their OP gear to avoid being killed.

Forgive my next statement as my buzz is fading and I am getting the "drank too much adult beverages with too little water" headaches. To anyone that is curious: ridiculous doesn't have an E in it.
The only thing I have heard is that they may remove sticking to friendly vehicles. Of course, I also heard that Player Market, MTAC, and possibly PvE was going to be out in 2013 so we have nothing else to do but enjoy Saint Patrick's Day (I started early) and come Tuesday the headache that is the patch notes will have begun. |

Well it would fits CCP current policy to nerf AV into uselessness. Nerfing AV even though CCP is stating AV is under performing is surely the best way to solve this issue .
So the removal would fit in this strategy, also to my knowledge it is still unknown if this behavior was intended or not. If this behavior was due to a bug there is indeed a certain probability that this gets "fixed".
If this was not a bug the only reason this could be get fixed is because of whining HAV pilots due to the fact they are still not invulnerable |

Same no risk like militia sica or soma. What real strategy U mean? Hardner+torque bonus module+going visit our redline asap? Remotes need to stay sticky. End of story. If tanker complain about Jihad Jeep it's only his fault. Use scanner or zoom out view sometimes. Well do all AV community know, that you can leave REs with proximity mixed so they will blow up together? |

The remotes definitely should stay as they are, I think they should get even more powerful when put on vehicles (like a shape charge effect). So that you only need 1 in the right spot (battery pack in the rear betwheen the tracks) to destroy a militia tank with it's hardeners down. |

Militia rail tanks are overpowered and boring... That makes a 500k variant even worse... It takes more skill to blow that jeep on a tank than it does to do anything with a tank... Also feel free to mosey about your red zone, it's much easier to park up next to someone and wait the 20 seconds. |

You guys are idiots. I agree that tanks are OP as **** and they need to be fixed, but the rail tank is a useful part of a team. Next time you're crying that an immortal proto blaster tank is slaughtering your team, and a friendly rail tank blows it up for you, think of me.
The strategy I'm talking about is staying up in the mountains or out in the distance, to have an early warning if a tank is coming or decides to counter-rail you.
Why don't you guys make an alt character that's a tanker. Then you will realize it's NOT easy unless you're a ****** like Duna and bring 5 other tanks with you.
I just feel sorry for blaster tankers who literally have no choice but to constantly be in a jihad jeep's killzone.
