Just to clarify this, as I see lots of people wailing about commandos having loads of DPS and making assault suits useless, is the damage bonus on commando suits a flat 2% role bonus, or a per-level-of-skill bonus?
Its the only bonus of its type not followed by 'per level' on the dev blog. But a flat 2% seems kinda meh, its not even a single basic damage mods worth. Does anyone know for sure or have a devpost link to clarify this?
Example pasted from devblog:
Caldari Commando Bonus: +2% damage to light hybrid GÇô railgun weapons.
Caldari Sentinel Bonus:
3% shield resistance to hybrid - blaster weapons per level.
2% shield resistance to laser weapons per level. |

I'm pretty sure its 2% per level. It wouldn't make sense if it was just 2% flat out.

Wow, with the lower overall ehp and only a 2 percent bonus, then the commando is seeming less and less like a heavy killer.

I'm fairly certain every other suit bonus in the game is "per level". It's probably safe to assume the Commando bonuses will be as well. |

If it is a flat 2% bonus then I certainly am going to have to change my skill plan with dropsuits. That is a weak bonus if not per level.

its per level, racial bonus is almost always per level

they did the same thing with the Sentinel splash damage and Logi PG/CPU for equipment
it would be stupid if it wasn't per level
they put per level in the floated thread in Features Discussion, before the dev blogs came out. pretty sure it said per level there

Because the Commando suits have garbage speed, garbage fitting, and a huge hitbox. 25% reduction to weapon fitting is enough to consider running assault over Commando.
