I fully agree. I went for the AR straight away and I was faithful to it for months.
Only 1 week ago I decided to finally give up and I bought 1 (ONE!!!) level of rail rifle. And you know what? This is bullshit. I call anybody that says that the RR isn't op a liar. It is op compared to AR.
So now I am not sure what to spend my SPs on, to increase the proficiency on one or the other? AR is seriously underpowered because of its range, and all the maps require range.

The fact that there is an Assault Scrambler, Assault Rail Rifle, and Assault Combat Rifle means that the term Assault Rifle should not apply to a single weapon anymore. It also lets you simply call "the 4 racial Light Weapons that fire actual projectiles" Assault Rifles.
When there is only one 'assault rifle', calling it Assault Rifle makes sense. It is just silly now to have the Gallente rifle called Assault Rifle. It doesn't let you easily group the other "four racial Light Weapon that fire actual projectiles." Can't just say 'rifles' as no one includes the Laser Rifle with the Combat, Rail, or Scrambler Rifles. Call the Gallente Rifle Blaster Rifle or Plasma Rifle and then group all the 4 'rifles' into Assault Rifles class/role. |
