Drunk off of all this whine. Why is everyone so complainant? Are we really so emotionally invested in this game that every change prompts such overwhelming crybabyism? One thing I've noticed every build, and sometimes during a build due to hotfixes....I have to change. Change my play, change my fits, skill into new gear. Why is that soooo hard for everyone? It literally takes...2weeks to prototype a weapon. I know that isn't all the perks but man, how good does your gear have to be to be competitive? It's inevitable, something will be OP, not because ccp is jerks, but because it's impossible to predict the outrageous things players will do until they have the new items in hand....
Bottom line is...It's not that serious. If it IS that serious, go outside. |

Because some of us don't measure competition for a form of entertainment by grabbing whatever is FOTM. We want to use what we want and have it balanced. We want to devote time to this game and support CCP. CCP is making it difficult to do that.
Why must we sit through a constant form of game development that keeps having such tremendous imbalance? Why change again and again and again using stuff you have no interest in?
The power player is having a field day due to shoddy development and demanding everybody play that way as if it is the playstyle CCP ultimately intends.
If that were the case we'd need only one weapon, one suit and one game mode.

For those always whining you are just making yourself like a 13 year old things will never be the same just like in real life remember when tvs were big and boxy and now there paper thin or got all this 4k stuff so seriously if u think its bad always depending on the FOTM maybe ur the one who needsto be nerfed .

If CCP had done a weapon respec too I would have considered just giving up on DUST and calling it a day. I know that sounds melodramatic but it would have been a dealbreaker with me.
I'm still pretty upset that SP spent on medium frames is also being refunded. Or course I can't even imagine the ungodly shitstorm that would descend upon the world of DUST. I guess CCP didn't think it was worth it to deal with it and they're probably right. If they actually believed refunding SP spent on medium frames was the right thing to do is much more troubling but is something we'll just never know.
The basic fact that it seems most people were also wanting a weapon SP refund shows that they are in fact too stupid to understand why only light and heavy frames should have their SP refunded so **** it. Give it to them and move on. This was a unique situation anyway and isn't likely to happen again. I hope.
All that being said...people get way to worked up over dumb **** anyway. I might have stopped playing if it went a certain way but I'm damn sure not going to lose any sleep over it. Or become physically agitated and start rambling a bunch of nonsense.

No there won't. CCP will probably not ruin the whole SP-System by allowing respecs every month.

CCP did not provide a weaponry respec in 1.8 because we still haven't achieved full weapon parity. They would be issuing one now and then another one when full parity occurs. We will eventually get a weaponry respec, just not in 1.8.

My guess would be in the patch where our free fittings are racially aligned. E.g. The Caldari fitting has a rail rifle and bolt pistol, MInmatar has a combat rifle and SMG, and so on. You don't have to believe me, but that's where the smart money is.
I really hope this happens, racial alignment just makes sense for free fits, also I know it's an issue of Ccp wanting us to spec into the weapons themselves but I believe there should be militia variants of all weapons and basic suits. Understandably they can't do this until the spectrum of base weapons is covered but it will be nice when they do. IE: racial snipers, shotguns, AV, etc.
To answer some feedback, I understand why people are bothered, but not why they're acting up. I have been playing dust since August 2012, and have seen many things change better or worse. I have taken a few breaks, for new games, for irritation, etc. I always play what I want, op or up. It really is adapt or die. Be competitive in the gear you want, until it is competitive again.
So the new guy skilled into rail rifle to be competitive and now it's not op? Better learn how to shoot it all over..
Games that stay around have to grow, that's just how it is
