1) General impressions of the dropsuit adds and role modifications? What emergent tactics or playstyles might be coming up? How will the roles and suits change team play tactics and organization?
Very happy with the new dropsuits, it's been a long time coming. I don't think too many new tactics will emerge, people will of course fit their suits to their bonuses (I hope).
2) Do the suit and role changes effect different player populations in different ways? Example - how does the PC player vs the Casual player get impacted or where can the biggest advantages be found?
PC may change, but it will be time before people can spec into other suits and max them out to where they are "PC READY". Assuming the suits trickle into FW, new players may be able to get new faction suits so that's an added bonus. For the casual player I don't think it'll really effect them to much. It may level out the playing field while veterans debate if they want to skill into a new suit.
3) It seems that there was quite a bit discussion in the community monitored by CCP about the Racial Assault bonuses for the Cal and Gal suits but ultimately nothing changed - What was the CPM's take on the discussion and interaction with CCP on this issue?
I'm not part of that interaction sadly.
4) What small items stand out as needing to be relooked? Example: the lower CPU level of the Cal Logi compared to other Logis.
The types of logi's are meant for different roles, for example in a match, an Amarr Logi is best for dropping Drop Uplinks all around the map. A Caldari Logi will be your ammo guy and give nanite repair, Gallente logi will be the best scout with the "fixing" of active scanners, (which really help when calling in orbitals), and Minmatar Logi will be the best repper (I personally run it with armor repping nano hives and a repair tool)
5) What is the impact of the Dropsuit Command Respec on the community? Are you satisfied with the solution? I am, players are given 3 characters, technically players are given as x3 as they have accounts on their PS3, this gives players a lot of opportunity to skill into a lot of different things, those who didn't take advantage of that from the get go, it's gotta suck, but I have 6 characters I use. I skill them up, I give them passive boosters, so I can pretty much skill into what ever I want and get a good idea what I want to do on my main.
