Hay everyone. With 1.8 coming, a lot of the racial benefits are linked to specific weapon types for example: Caldari Commando Bonus: +2% damage to light hybrid GÇô railgun weapons. Gallente Commando Bonus: +2% damage to light hybrid GÇô blaster weapons. Minmatar Commando Bonus: +2% damage to light projectile and explosive weapons. Amarr Commando Bonus: +2% damage to light laser weapons.
Could we add specific weapon types to the descriptions of each weapon, as this would save a lot of confusion? I expect there are player made lists which contain this info but it would be really helpful if it was integrated into the game.
an example would be: Combat rifle:Minmatar, light weapon, projectile, exc.
The reason I am asking this is I use a Minmatar suit with an assault rifle and im wondering if I am going to be missing out on some specific bonuses unless I switch to a Combat rifle. I would have assumed the Assault rifle was a projectile weapon until now.
If the weapons section of the Dust 514 website was also flushed out a bit more, that would be really helpful (http://dust514.com/universe/weapons/)

the plasma rife(assault but i i think it needs a less generic name) is a hybrid blaster, so yes you will be missing out on the bonus

I'd still like a weapon 'tab' on the fitting screen showing efficiency against armor/shield after proficiency and damage mods.
Maybe even just tell you how much damage each shot will do (though Heavies having resistances now would make that kinda misleading to some people).

I always thought that the Assault Rifle and Combat Rifle were the same projectile type till I saw the 1.8 dev blogs. Making this change would greatly help newer players |

With modifications to suit bonuses on the way I would say damage/weapon type and range should be added immediately.
