I'll still make a pointless thread out of the 100 that already exist if they dont give a full infantry respec.

Yes, the dozen or so SP events that we've had over the past year or two were all leading up to this point to cushion the blow of no respec. Subsequent SP events will be a form of post no-respec consolation.

That sounds like you're trying to stop this discussion
On a serious note: the disclaimer is about the respec itself, not the talk of a respec. It's quite possible they're gauging our reactions to see if they can get away with giving us nada in 1.8.

We've had an average of just under one SP event a month for the past year or so. And of those events, we usually get about 1 or 2 times the cap in bonus SP.
Not only have we never had two this close together, but these two have also been the biggest giveaways of all SP events. A potential 1mil in SP is more than FIVE TIMES the SP cap, not to mention the reintroduction of Omegas to the market.
This is far more significant than our average SP event.

That's a fair point. There is a potential to earn almost 3 million SP during this event (accounting for the week#s passive SP too) if you use omegas and it did follow a triple SP event not so long ago.
Well, after this event, my main will have about 12 million unallocated SP out of 34 mill lifetime and is almost perfectly specced and COVERT has been painstakingly carefully specced and will get another 2.7 million from this event to further develop his fledgling scoutyness so I'm not too concerned either way now.

If you have over 24m SP you can STFU with your opinion about a re-spec.
If you have the option of saving 3m Sp you can STFU too. A re-spec isn't for the closed beta guys who have 2x the re-spec to make the best skill tree possible. Sure new weapons were introduced but these people had the SP to spare, and continue to be able to save when the majority are still saving for our next lv4-5 skill.
The SP giveaways in the last month should have nth to do with the need for a re-spec. And those who argue against it can provide no reason for it not to happen.
EVE doesn't get them, yes the do and this isn't EVE.
It's just a bunch of elitist pricks who have so much SP they don't know what to do about it. Which class should I spec into, maybe all of them since I have so much SP. Which weapons, as many as I can max out.
The re-spec isn't the biggest problem, but again the elite don't want a fair match making system so no one seems to complain about how 800k players are paired against teams of 30m+ SP players.
The game is ridiculous, and these elite pricks have the nerve to keep their bullshit constant by running for CPM and keeping ******* stupid issues in forums about redline snipers and red line camping... Anything that prevents them from spawn camping and killing you immediately after you spawn is somehow bad. These ******* idiots don't have a clue for the most part and just want to keep their elite clones alive. Wouldn't want a fair match where they might die 5-7 times.
Run a ambush match, oh have to sync 12 people in Proto gear to stop on a team without a single Proto user. Just ridiculous stuff and no one seems to argue against matchmaking, only lesser issues like a re-spec (a tool which could help lower the gap between intermediate and advanced players . |
