currently each race has 2
their rifle and something else
ammar-laser technically a rifle but its not really
mimnatar- mass driver
gallente - shotgun
caldari- sniper
(they'll have their av weapons)
will each race be getting their own long range weapons and up close weapons or will this be it for the most part
im personally in favor of keeping as is. If we give each race their own version of everything then their is little incentive to pick one race over another.
im actually also in favor of removing all other variants of the rifles.
so no more assault this or breach that or tac that.
i just want more racially defined playstyle and less generic everything

The Laser Rifle was supposed to be the Amarr Sniper Rifle IIRC.

Technically, iirc, the Mass Driver is supposed to be the Minmatar Launcher, or at least was. Like the PLC and Swarm Launcher, rather ineffective against vehicles.
Though, CCP may have abandoned that idea by now.

If you read the description, it's not technically supposed to be an AV weapon.

Also, these "other" weapons are area of denial weapons. The laser rifle fits that category. You can wave that beam around and damage anybody going through it from a distance.
