CCP is going to be doing running checks to see what booster you have going and apply that to your reward. The first check will be immediately after downtime on Friday morning. The second check will be 6 hours later. I believe that is all they are doing so far but are discussing a third check 12 hours after downtime.

So long as your booster is running during one of these checks then you are good to go. So either activate it right before Friday morning's downtime or within 6 hours after the downtime.

This is no where close to an ideal situation and I foresee a lot of people complaining when they realized they did not have the booster on in time for one of the check ups.

In December (I think it was December) they gave away Omega Boosters for spending a certain amount of $. If you never directly bought the booster this is probably were it came from.
