Details on March's event here.
As I'm inclined to believe, when the community works together, everyone benefits. For February's event, I encouraged everyone to run a Heavy with an HMG. That would help everyone both to get kills with a heavy weapon, and kill heavies, which would maximize everyone's reward and help people reach the max reward quickly.
The Million Clone Challenge is this weekend! If the 'clones destroyed' count for the weekend totals 1 million or more, everyone gets 1 million SP. That's almost 2 weeks of SP!
To help get to the million mark, I propose that everyone leave their nanite injectors in their merc quarters. Don't even think about bringing them onto the battlefield. The reason is simple; Kills don't count. For it to matter, you need to lose your clone.
Now some of you run fits that you're probably not keen on throwing away. To alleviate your anxiety, for the weekend of this event only, make a cheap fit! It's that simple.
To recap. This weekend is an event. During the event, if a million or more clones are destroyed, everyone gets 1 million SP. To help us all reach that goal, everyone should refrain from bringing nanite injectors into battle, and people should run cheap fits they don't mind losing.
Working together will benefit us all!

Optimal strategy outlined here!
Sadly I have to work that weekend but while I can play my alts WILL be flying around in cheap suits flinging RE's, running into crowds with knives and and randomly shooting massdrivers all over the damn place. I think one of them has a scout BPO, that will be helpful.

No worries Joel. No need to run a heavy. You can run whatever suit you want for this event!
Also, I saw a few posts in other threads about individual players needing to get a million kills. The entire game needs to see a million clones destroyed, not just killed and picked up with a needle. Every little contribution helps us all get that million SP!

That's fine too! People gon do what they gon do, as they say.
I'm just trying to spread the word about the event and put out some ideas about helping everyone reach the reward. Also, a lot of good points have been made else where about a lot of DUST players not frequenting the forums. The solution is simple. Let your friends know in game!

I'm assuming something from looking at the leader boards weekly stats over a several weeks. I could be wrong though, but certainly like to hope.

I know they have to be destroyed, but you know someone is bound to boost. Slowly, without the revives, but boosting nonetheless.
Anyways, I'll try to play 15 games each day. That'll be 30, when and if I'm done.
Happy hunting! |

alot of assumptions and data off EvE-Offline
most activity in a day occurs within a 10 hour timespan, so its easyer and more accurate to calculate off of a 10 hour a day model then a 24 hour one.
the average active users at any given time during that 10 hour span is aproximatly 3750 players.
one core assumption (aka a big weakness in the calculation) is to assume 75% of people are in game at any given time.
so that leaves aproximatly 2800 people playing at any givin moment.
wich is enough players for 87 seperate games devided over 3 game modes.
games take an average of 20 minuites (scrim/dom) and 7 minuites (ambush) so there are 3 ambush games in the same timeframe as 1 skrim (assuming the people who just got out of a game now belong to that 25% and people who were previously not playing que up to take their place.
so using this information we can devide the math up into 20 minuite periods.
in scrim on average more then half the clones are destroyed. so a conservitave estimate is 150 clones lsot per game (half) the same can be said for domination but because the games are bloodbaths more then scrim we can saftly assume about 170 clones lost for DOM.
ambush is a tricky one since there are two ambushes, one with 50? clones and 1 with 80 so assuming its a 50/50 split lets just say 65 guarenteed losses for one side plus losses for the winning team equal to 33% becuase its easyer to use that number.
so ambush clone loss is about 80 on average ish (massive rounding because were looking at a ballpark figure not an exact number.
so hourly clone loss is
450 skrim 500 or so dom 600 or so ambush
lets just round all that to 500 average because we dont have enough data to make the numbers more meaningfull.
now we have 87 games running at a time and our hourly stat is about 43000 clones destroyed.
using a 10 hour day model on average we destroy about 400,000 clones a day.
14th - 17th will be 3 full 10 hour days, resulting in 1.2 million clones lost. as a rough estimate.
remember that this isnt an exact figure, its an estimate based on many assumptions and i have atempted to eliminate as much random crap as possable but its obviously not going to be perfect but in all honesty thats a margin of error of 200,000 clones so this shows that its perfectly reasonable to assume that on any given weekend we at least get VERY close to killing off 1 million clones without the aid of an event.
