Simple request. Empower us to select whether or not we want this option enabled. From the Unreal Engine manual:

Quote:OneFrameThreadLag(UBOOL) Whether to allow the rendering thread to lag one frame behind the game thread.

I'd rather take a slight framerate hit than to deal with the current input lag, and that's the player's choice to make, not CCP's.

I agree. We need more options when it comes to how the game runs. I would much rather take a huge hit to how good the game looks to prevent frame drops that are quite common and the input lag that occasionally accompanies it.

But would it improve perceived connectivity or would people still lag out from things like equipment spam?

 I really don't know.

 I really don't know.

From what I can gather the setting improves input latency since input is handled by the game thread. I don't think the equipment spam issue will be made much worse by this, but either way I'd rather lose 1 FPS and gain responsive input.

I'd like a dev to test this internally beforehand.

every technical issue for dust is caused by the fact its on ps3, the sooner its on ps4 the better, dont get me wrong i know porting dust would take time and isnt easy work going from the cell chip to 64bit but it needs to be done, so many technical issues and feature possibility get fixed/come into play at that point id rather sit out the update for 1.9 or 2.0 to get it on ps4

EVERY TECHNICAL issue is tied into the fact that it runs on a ps3, equipment spam and input lagg would not be as much of or simple a non issue on a more powerful system

That's a very broad, very wrong, and very off-topic statement. There's more to squeeze out of the PS3, and it's in everyone's best interest that CCP continues to make what performance improvements they can(especially platform agnostic improvements) before they port this game to another platform.

It's also in everyone's best interest to expose more controller related settings to the end user, of which I think this is one.

 Needs to be a subject.

Yes, I don't care if I see the little equipment bubble pulsing, just give a dotted line. Give us low- med- high- on things like friendly explosions, enemy, and textures/models.
