Wanting to find a squad I joined something called the Feros something something recruiting. After joining and finding out that the squad lead isn't using his mic (great tactics BTW), a random joined and announced that he is new. I was about to leave but I couldn't - I couldn't let a poor new blueberry join an ISK scam corp.
This is where I need your help. He announced he wanted to be sniper. Okay, he made a new character and we put skillpoints into caldari medium 3 and got the tactical sniper rifle. Then I said that he needs to start working on his damage mod skill.
In all honesty it is damn near impossible for him to get kill - he would head shot people but following up was damn near impossible. Having decided that he wanted to PTFO a bit he went down to the objective (domination bridge map). You know how people say this game is easy and say that blueberries are ******* stupid? That is terribly wrong. For me it was the best dom match I ever had WP wise. He went 3/22.
After all this we decided that the only viable for him to survive is to be a logi.
TLDR. This game is horribly unbalanced and I doubt it will get any new players. Also, I need to make a logi out of starter skill points.
Caldari are masters of hand to hand combat.

Firstly, good luck bud. A logi is the best way to go for a newbro as it requires little gun game and just following a more experienced player.
You are right about nobody being able to get into this game without someone holding your hand :( |

Also, need logi fits. I think Mimnatar logi lvl 1 and then go for shield extenders/equipment

MLT Blaster tank needs no skills at the beginning of the game, and when you hit 60m SP and have vehicles completely maxed out it still requires no skill whatsoever so yeah HAV is a safe bet.
Instead of sniper, have him train as a general assault guy and teach him about the game and tell him he will need a good bit of time to be up to par with everybody else. Dont tell peeps to specialise until they are having fun.

Hahaha just the other day I kept offering ppl in Academy to get into my tank, and what happened?
99% didn't bother to use comms, the one guy who I invited to squad and actually seemed to be using chat didn't know how to accept the invite... Tried to walk him through something simple as that, but no luck...
Not saying blueberries are stupid, most likely they might have been more receptive if using comms and squadding up was more emphasized in NPE or just make a tutorial of it....
P.S. one guy's response to my offering of getting into the tank no strings attached: "No"

I got a blue Berry with a mic once in my squad. He was a fine gentleman with a mic. He used scanners uplinks and reppers. He, also, sounded like massive so that was a plus. Too bad he left when the match was over.
