I like the idea of having around 4 tanks rolling around the match but militias should be really weak and rail guns need to be very short distance. Tanks should still cost the same except only madrugas and gunnlogis should be stron but not as strong as now Perhaps give militia tanks only one low and high slot? Thoughts?

thoughts... a lot of thoughts formed over a long time.
the railgun is a long range high alpha weapon and needs to retain that fact. lowing it's fire rate substantially will bring it's damage back into line.
otherwise there are many balancing measures that could be taken to bring tanks back to where they need to be. and in my opinion the answer isn't any one of them but a combination of all of them taken in moderation.

But railguns in terms of the physics associated with them, and in EVE and long range guns.

Right, blasters should be short(er) range.
