Ok so only late nights I freeze up and have to restart my playstation. I have five chat channels. I just reinstalled dust on a 40G HD. As soon as I started it up twenty mins ago. It freezes during battle. Restart the playstation it freezes again during battle. Is anybody else having this problem or is CCP just targeting me for being a jackass?

Your PS3 unit might be dying.
If it happens to YLOD, shove it into the stove. Google the details.
If that doesnt help, well then I hope you got 200$ to spare.

If it's only for Dust: Not yet. Try again in a year or two.
If you're going to use it as a Blu-ray player or play other games, I'd say go for it. |

This is certainly true if you want to a new one.
If you kind of want to play dice and are willing to not have a PS3 for a while, assuming it explodes in the next few days or weeks, you could wait for a price drop. With the PS4 out, the price of the PS3 may drop or some bigger and better bundle may be available.
Hopefully it doesn't take a dump on you and is just some random occurrence. Mine just to make the most hellaceous noise and radiated heat like an oven. Then one day it was grinding loud as well, turned off, and hasn't done it anymore. This was like 4 years ago. |

DUST 514 is literally the only game that freezes up my PS3.
Does it do this with any other games?
P.S.
Apparently this is happening a lot.
I JUST hard froze and so did Xerics and another corp mate froze earlier today as well.

Has CCP came out and try to explain that there may be an code problem. This has only happen to me in 1.7 so that may explain some thing and maby just maby 1.8 may correct this problem never can tell. kind of like sweeping the known problem under the rug and say what problem
