All I see on these forums are complaints that 1.8 will be nothing more than a brick tanked fest of slow drawn out engagements.
However, I was curious to know if anyone thinks speed tanking accompanied by high alpha damage weapons will make a comeback. With TTK being increased, will we see more speedsters wielding SGs, ScRs, ScPs, NKs, etc? As far as I recall, the short TTK was one of the major reasons why speed tanking became unviable throughout Uprising.
With that about to change, would it be safe to assume speed tanking will finally have a place once again, or is aim assist and slow strafing speeds still holding it back? What are your thoughts? |

I run scouts, and I don't think infantry should ever be able to speed tank other infantry.
I am your scan error.

Probably, but it goes hand in hand with being stealthy. I still run at least one kin cat on most of my fits currently. |

I would be nervous in a shied tanked suit with the LR buff. I my even start carrying my Vizaim, think CR/RR are bad? We haven't even seen the shield eater at work yet. I think the LR will have a nerf follow the buffs and for the record I have had a proto LR for a while so it won't be FotM for me because it is my second most used light weapon after an Exile AR. Anyways, I am home now and I think I will go play DUST instead of just splorking all over the forums.

(The Scouts // Light Frames should be better at Speed Tanking than Matari Assault Frames though)

With 2 Reactive Plates, I can get my innate armor reps back and have some armor to fall back on incase someone jumps me with a SCR/LR.
All with 0HP Movement Penalty.
