And? Rifles are the backbone of any armies armaments (yay alliteration) and expecting 16 people on a team to each be using a different niche weapon is ridiculous

I do love embarrassing proto wannabes when I kill them with my Laser Rifle, especially when they try to kill me with a Rail Rifle.

I was a dedicated masshole for the start back in closed beta. I was up until 1.6 when TTK dropped. Looks like I will be donning that badboy once more come 1.8.

You mean like back then when people were melted by LR with insane range and damage potential?
Or when practically everyone was using MDs?
Hell, I even remember HMG Heavies to be the #1 reason for people whining.
I've seen so many FOTM. All I want CCP to do is finally stop first over-nerfing and then over-buffing everything again.

I recently have been moving back away from the rifles, even when I know Im gonna gimp myself, why?
Because at least I feel like I earnt every kill I made.
I use Shotguns, MD (not much in .7 but getting buffed), laser (Always went positive), HMG, FG and Burst Scrambler Pistols.
Because nothing lets you know how much of a Scrub you are more than getting shot to death by a scrambled pistol.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

Back in 1.4 / 5 (I can't remember now) I ran SMG primary.
The improved hit detection then new rifles made it pretty much impossible on my logi.
Still much prefer to use SMG on my scout but often you just need the extra range.
In 1.8 I'm gonna switch back but my logi will always need a rifle. Primarily because its more helpful when supporting HMG heavies.
Yes I do love the CR. It has a good sound to it. But I also like to use unusual / underused weapons - Liking the current LR and MD but if they get too popular in 1.8 I may have to drop them.
The only unusual weapon I've never really tried seriously is the PC. I've used it enough to know its shockingly terrible against these upwardly mobile vehicles and requires far too much dedication to use than I'm willing to give it.

I cooked one last night.
Opened up with a SMG burst to get his attention, ducked around, outflanked, came up on his right and melted him without taking any damage.
Proto Sentinel + RR vs Adv Min Assault + standard LR.
I sent him a mail

I used to and still do run shotgun/pistol fit. Or dual pistol. I run CR and RR sometimes but militia shotty holds it down. knight of 6 I like your sig.
If you get near the 7+ people I'm repping I'll rip your face off.
