So that assaults are the only suits that can easily fit Avd, and proto light weapons
Scouts can cloak. Logis can equipment spam. Commandos can go Rambo. Heavies handle the big guns. Assauts bring in the hard hitting, higher tired weapons.

Caldari Aslt suit is already a pain in the ass to fit for, the 25% skill buff will maybe bring it in line with the current gallente Aslt

Also, give caldari assaults some love in general.

And just so you know, my Gallente assault can't fit a duvolle while using an advanced nanohive and advanced grenade.
My Caldari assault has proto everything.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

hmm. i don't think so.
92 cpu and 20 pg is plenty for a proto ScR. without core skills, 20 pg is 1/3 the pg of many proto suits, and even more for others.
maybe a pg increase for CRs, but other than that, it's pretty decent.

Increase the cost of equipment then so Assaults can't use higher tier hybrid hives since a squad of assaults coordinating equipment make a logistics obsolete.

How about you take the cloak and shove it up you med tail pipe. It was shoved down our throats and nerfed before it even came out.
Make sg a sidearm for scouts and then we can talk

With maxed core skill a mini assault has problems fitting a proto CR unless you start removing some shields or fill your lows with CPU mods |

How about giving assaults NON useless bonuses? Assaults should've had the ROF bonus. Instead they got a bonus that even when you use a proto ScR, you'll save 5pg & like 20 cpu. Thats not even enough for an enhanced module. Then you have race bonuses like the LOLCALDARI bonus. Yes, CCP, shaving .2 seconds off my reload time for rail rifles is DEFINITELY a good race bonus. Its DEFINITELY as useful as resisting 15% to the weapon profiles that hurt my suit. DEFINITELY.
Your post is making me facepalm very hard right now.

I think it's kinda silly that the Gallente AR has the lowest fitting requirements of any of the light weapons. If you like something automatic, that follows the same general principles as weapons today, then there's no reason to skill into anything else for proficiency, unless you just want to try it out.
Along with the damage changes, I feel CCP should also try to nearly equalize the resource usage of the light weapons.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

I got my PG reduction maxed on my AR.

Doesn't help too much considering Logistics still have the higher amount of PG/CPU and can always add a CPU/PG mod to help. A nerf to everyone else when something needs help is the negative way of going about it. I understand that reducing the value of everything down to the same level of the weakest suit/role works but it angers everyone and only has the end result of "well, I guess everyone sucks as much as me now." Better to give a buff to the weaker suit/role because it makes the users of said suit/role feel better without making everyone else feel worse. Even so, saying "you can spend more SP to be allowed to use the slightly better than average weapon you already skilled into" as a Suit skill is pretty lame.
The PG/CPU reduction of side arms and light weaponry for Assaults is almost entirely pointless. With level 5 with the both Prototype Rifle and Sidearm you end up saving maybe 34 CPU and 6 PG and that is with the Rail Rifle and Ion Pistol, the two biggest CPU hogs from my quick look.
If there were an EVE skill that did that little as a bonus it would be laughed out of the room by the Drake getting 4% omni-resistance and 10% Kinetic Missile damage per level of Caldari Battlecruiser or the Golem's 10% Missile Velocity, 5% explosion velocity per level of Caldari Battleship (which has to to 5 to use the Golem) as well as 7.5% Shield boost amount and 10% effectiveness to Target Painters per level of Marauder skill. Oh, and Marauders also get a +100% increase to the range/speed of their tractor beams and +100% damage to whatever weapons the ship is meant to use as an innate role bonus.
So why don't the specialist suits like Logistics, Scouts, Assaults, Commandos, and Sentinels get role bonuses over their basic frame friends? Who knows... |
