I've honestly noticed a lot of tears about all the nerfs and buffs coming with 1.8. And I just have to ask you people, are you all crazy? I've checked the nerfs and buffs, and I'm honestly for it. As an avid user of the SCR, I can tell you guys that the main weapons needed to be nerfed, mainly because EVERYBODY would run around in logi suits packing a prototype weapon, not even giving a crap about their sidearms, when these weapons are easily some of the most under appreciated things in the game. With this nerf you'll actually see slayers slaying, and logis being forced to do ACTUAL LOGI WORK. Either that or you'll see a crap ton of Logistics AK.0's running around, but as the current change to the logi bonus I've seen (the reduction to pg/cpu of equipment), instead of the current bonus they get to armor reps, this will IMO get the slayer people out of the tryhard logi suits into actual killer gear.
But that being said, there are still a few things about 1.8 that I disagree with.
1) that logi bonus they currently have with the reps, give that to the assault suits, I can honestly see no race that wouldn't benefit from that.
2) The nerf to equipment where only racial suits get a bonus, I'm sort of for that, but not to the extent CCP took it. It should be nerfed, but to a point to where it could still be a viable option to put on a suit.
3) DMG mods are getting nerfed too hard, 3%,5%, and 7% should be the new build, you make dmg mods worthless the way they're going now.

It really seems that most of these players have some sort of logi slayer type build and now its being ruined lol. |

"slayer logis" will always be. The changes don't suggest that they will change logis into being strictly medical. If that's the case, they wouldn't have a weapon slot period.

I'm fine with most of the changes; they don't really affect my ScR, thanks to the synergy with Amarr Assault. People who don't have it at 5 are going to encounter problems, though. It won't really be a viable weapon on logi suits either.
I already use my ScP a lot; I've only got it at prof 1, so my behaviour with it will be identical. I suspect I'll end up leading with a charge shot, dropping a mag of ScP and switching back to mop up whatever's left.

For the first time I was actually beginning to like where Dust was in terms of balance..... all I would have done is reassessed some effective and optimal range profiles, slight damage profil changes, more in the region of 5-7%, some AR buff, shield module buffs, etc.....
Seems like over kill, especially the proficiency changes..... sure I agree damage was not the best modifier, but other aspects of fire arms could have been changed like ADS zoom, ADS speed, Recoil, heat build up, etc.....

So you were happy with standard suits dying in 0.7 secs? You were happy that TTK was so low that the MD/LR/SG/NK/SR/ScP being barely relevant? You were happy with GalLogis going round with Pro RR going round at +35% extra damage? You were happy that profciency skills completly invalidating Tank type choices? You were happy that everytime some tried to hit and run they were followed by 50 M8 Core Locus grenades? You were hapoy that heavies were only extra EHP to the Scrubbiest of tryhards?
Ok, you stay here in 1.7, Im off to enjoy killing my enemies with any weapon I can find.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

Yeah pretty much, we still need more highslot mods and damage mods to be swapped to lows.
