You have improved, I give you that.
We had the equipment stats, stats for heavies and scouts, an sidearm stats well in advance so we were able to give feedback.
But for the rifle changes all we got was a "we will rebalance rifles" or something like that spread over various threads without any stats whatsoever.
Why did you not just give us those stats as well so we would have been able to give you feedback?
What about the damage mod changes? There are many people now questioning their usefulness. Why not make a discussion thread about that so we would have been able to give some feedback in advance?
And in the dev blog you show us the new stats for the mass driver, but what you don't show is the differences to the mass driver we have now. Why not include in the dev blog that you are giving the MD a damage buff of 25%?
And the Laser Rifle changes. Why not give us the stats for the new ranges? Is effective range changed but optimal stays the same?
You ninja edited the new Assault and Logi stats into the Feedback Request: Dropsuit Stats and Skills! thread without telling anyone.
Logis now getting a scan precision buff and a 15-20% hacking bonus across the board?
And my guess is it now is too late to give meaningful feedback for changes for 1.8. And we will again have to live with the changes you throw at us until you finally fix them in a future update after 1.8.
In my opinion with all those damage nerfs especially new players in MLT suits will have a very hard time in 1.8. The proto stomping will intensify.

Ok, just putting some thoughts out there. But don't the changes stem from the idea of being more "welcoming" to the new players and to enhance NPE so they NPs won't get destroyed? Wasn't that the argument for so long from the community? Didn't folks complain about how much damage output plus damage mods keeps these NPs from pursuing Dust? So is it a fair assumption, the community were pivotal in starting these changes?

So is it a fair assumption, the community were pivotal in starting these changes? That is true and I have changed my mind about that topic over time. I think the reduced TTK was actually a good thing, because with an increased situational awareness you were able to beat a proto player with a standard gun. It was still a challenge, though. Sure, they increased their damage potential with damage mods, but they had to give up shield extenders for that, and thus were easier to kill. What probably will happen now is that many people will stack extenders again and thus making it twice as hard to be killed in a good suit. (reduced rifle damage + extenders instead of damage mods)
EDIT: But the point is not the changes themselves, but the fact that we did not get them before it was too late to make any changes for 1.8.

I concur, extenders will be stacked. My guess is that dual tanking will also be alive and well in 1.8
