No this isn't about the back pedaling thing (annoying as that is) but who uses NKs in general: the thing is I never actually see caldari players using them, Minmatar and gallente yeah, but never caldari.
It's odd I've seen a few assaults running them but it's almost always Minmatar or gallente never caldari...
I know they can be used effectively on a non Minja from experience, so why so few caldari assault knifers?

I have seen a heavy using them  . But honestly currently they only make sense on scout suits or very special troll medium fits.
NK aren't very viable sidearms and the best suit to use them with is and will be the minmatar scout.
I would rather see the NK bonus allied to ALL scout suits instead of giving this bonus to just one suit...especially since the bonus does not make very much sense on the minmatar suit:
First NK are Caldari tech (well at least currently)
Secondly Gallente are CQC AND stealth master race (or well they should be) so the NK bonus would fit their playstyle way better |

I have a Caldari Assault fitting that has them on, but it just doesn't get much use as I don't tend to get that close to reds to begin with. My RR usually stops them at a distance. (Or they stop me at a distance.)
Whenever I do get a knife kill it is very satisfying I must admit.

I think they generally make most sense on scouts, as the other dude said...and of course for Matari scouts in particular. I use them just as much for mobility as anything else though, dat sprint speed . They will fit PERFCTLY with my Min scout play style which is basically avoid as much combat as possible, hack **** and drop uplinks. They allow me to get round quicker and take care of that straggling strawberry who thinks he can hack my installation.

LONG AGO I used to run knives on a medium frame, and i got scores like 15+ kills and under 2 deaths every game.
that was also long before scanners though...

Saying you see them on Gallente and Minmatar suits but never Caldari suits is just a misleading way to say you see them on lights but not mediums. Do you really see Gallente or Minmatar medium suits using nova knives? If Caldari had a light frame I'm sure you'd see Caldari suits using them more.

I'd think if I was talking about caldari midframes using them I'd not reference the scouts as those I see using them, don't you?

I tried running them on the assault for a while, but between scanner spam and suit movement speed, knife opportunities were far and few in between, and it felt like I was trying to make a scout suit out of the assault.
