Did CCP ever produce anything about what the languages of the 5 main empires looks like? Being separated from Earth for nearly 6,000 years would create a lot of linguistic drift. Would Gallente sound musical and poetic even when they're yelling at you? Would Amarrian sound more like Latin/Arabic/Persian? Minmatar sort of like the old Germanic languages? And Caldari hmmm maybe a blend of multiple Asiatic languages? |

The Gallante sound like OG's raised on the streets of LA during the late 80's. So lots of Vulgar phrases with the occasional back handed compliment.
The Minmatar talk like Vikings. A lot of hooraying.
The Amarr talk with a very thick, over the top Drunk Scottish accent that is almost impossible to comprehend.
The Caldari speak in Parcel tongue! So like Snakes, with a lot of hissing and stuff.

In that one book that came out not long after uprising there was this big Minmatar dude that did speak a Minmatar language a bit.
After Uprisings release the forums were a bad place, I'll never forget how CCP screwed up so badly.

People learn Klingon, it would not surprise me if it was a fully realized language that someone, some where would learn it completely. |

The Amarr speak a language called Amarrish, or Amarrad. Its written in a similar style to Arabic apparently, but linguistically sounds like rather different.
E.G https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Amarrian_language
A manu dei e tet rimon I am the devoted hand of the divine god. ("Tetrimon" means "Divine Devotion") Armadillo The strong armor and the way the Tormentor seems to be curling up on itself has given the Tormentor-class this nickname. Imud Hubrau Beast of Heaven. Kaoli To identify with a person or way of life so that threat to it is to be as though it were personal. Khanid Means "little lord" or "lord ling" and is an affectionate term generally given to a cherished friend. Mezagorm Means Vision of god. Sefrim Those that guard the high seats of heaven. Angels, which God ordered them here to protect the emperor against all evils that ever beset him. Semper Pax Peace, forever. Vitra To the Amarr, "Vitra" meant simply "life." Life itself.
The Caldari apparently speak two languages.
Nanpali and Caldanese (yes it is called that apparently)
I don't know about the others.

Other than a brief description that the Gallente are descendants (like hundreds if not thousands of generations at this point) of French colonists in New Eden, and the names we have of their NPCs and Systems, and some locations in chronicles, no. Nothing official has been done to develop the language of the races.
We do, however, have some background on their methods of torture. What better way to get to know someone than by how they'll **** your ****, right?

When you say "looks like," do you mean how the characters of their alphabet look, or just the words themselves, if written in English (with accent marks where necessary)?

What their alphabet looks like. How their words flow together. Not just a romanization of their words. It would be nice to see that in the captain/merc quarters the script of the race whose station you're in.
As a side note I was missioning in Eve and was doing some Amarr missions and I must say if it were not for their slavery thing the Amarr are not so bad. It did state though that abuse of slaves is not generally practiced or accepted by a large portion of the empire. And many look down on the process. But like all things in New Eden there is a lot of shades of grey. I also sided with the Amarr at the end of the main SoE epic arc, Lear Evanus and she wasn't so bad either. So now I'm going to train into using their ships! |

Amarr: Latin
Gallente: French
Minmatar: Klingon
Caldari: Money. Because you know, money talks.

We aren't a bad people, slavery is but a very minor aspect of what and who the Amarr are.
Plus currently there are only something like 314 billion Minmatar slaves in the Empire..... and 15 Trillion Amarr.........

Well as True posted, Amarr script looks to be similiar to Arabic. The Caldari language is an amalgamation of Finnish and Japanese, at least in sound. God knows what their alphabet looks like. I can't tell you what Gallente or Minmatar looks like, either. Many Minmatar can speak Amarrian, though they definately have their own language and alphabet from their original home (and undoubtedly what the Republic Shakoria speaks now).

There are no good "countries" in New Eden. You might have good individuals, but the governments aren't keeping power through free-giveaways and bake sales.

No, no one knows, it would make naming characters too easy.
Unfortunately that means names like sgt buttface and you can't change them later on. |
