It makes me sad to see any module become useless.
For as much diversity as this game could have if things were balanced properly, there is very little diversity at all.

There will be absolutely no possible fit, none whatsoever, where a damage mod would have won a shootout over a shield extender.
As the game currently is in 1.7, it fell to damage mods some of the time, and shield extenders more of the time. There is a relative state of balance there currently. And it's going to go 99% to shield extenders once 1.8 hits.
(that 1% where you still have to fit Damage Mods? Snipers. Who are getting a big nerf that they did not need with this patch.)

I run scout 99.99% of the time and when I do run a cheap LP proto assault or logi
I actually set it up with scout modules and do very well

bottom line is your damage mods are changing and active scanners are changing that makes my beloved passive scans and precision that much better

The Proficiency skill and weapon damage changes that CCP is making would have been enough to fix TTK. The Damage Mod changes simply make a module useless that didn't need to be.
So it's useless because complex is now what enhanced used to be?
The most I've ever used is two enhanced damage mods. And I do fine. Now I'll do two complex, no change. I have CPU and pg to spare. |

I play in a std scout suit with std weapons (35 mill SP invested) and I destroy proto HP stacked suits
